The Helen Hayes Theatre will showcase Linda Vista for a limited run until 10th November, 2019.

Featuring Pulitzer and Tony award-winning actor-playwright Tracy Letts, Linda Vista premieres at Second Stage’s Helen Hayes Theatre this season. The comical production, directed by Dexter Bullard, takes us through the life of a 50-year-old divorcee undergoing a mid-life spiral. Starring as Wheeler, Ian Barford returns to Broadway for this performance after a spectacular run at Los Angeles & Chicago. Joined by his crew, including Sally Murphy, Caroline Neff, Cora Vander Broek, and Troy West — the cast will be reprising their roles from their previous productions at Los Angeles as well as Chicago.
Linda Vista revolves around Wheeler, whose failed marriage, mundane job, and a dreary future lurks ahead of him. However, things begin to change and new avenues of love, sex, and redemption open up for him soon after he moves out of his ex-wife’s garage to his own apartment. Join Wheeler as he sets off on a path of self-discovery, only to find himself navigating his way between ex-dates, old friends and an opportunity to find himself a new love. Although full of opinion, and short on self-examination — he is left with a choice to reunite the man he has become, with the man he wants to be.

Presented in association with the Steppenwolf Theatre and Centre Theatre Group, watch the stage light up with scenic designs by Todd Rosenthal, along with costume designed by Laura Bauer. Marcus Doshi and Richard Woodbury also get together for lighting as well as sound design for the show. Letts is best known for taking the Broadway by storm in 2007 with his acclaimed drama — Osage County — which went on to win Best Play at Tony and Drama category at Pulitzer Award in 2008. Some of his previous works at Second Stage have included Man from Nebraska and Mary Page Marlowe in 2017 and 2018. He continues to take this forward fruitfully with the premiere of Linda Vista.
