Cast and creatives
Derived from Audrey Niffenegger's acclaimed novel and the screenplay by Bruce Joel Rubin for New Line Cinema's film, the production narrates the journey of a woman entangled in an unconventional matrimony. Her spouse grapples with an unusual condition, involuntarily time-traveling without control over his destinations. The stage adaptation is the work of Lauren Gunderson (known for "You and I"), featuring Joss Stone and Dave Stewart's new single "This Time", complemented by additional musical compositions from Nick Finlow and extra lyrics penned by Kait Kerrigan.
At the forefront of the ensemble, we find David Hunter taking on the role of Henry, alongside Joanna Woodward portraying Clare. Joining them are Tim Mahendran as Gomez, Hiba Elchikhe as Charisse, Ross Dawes as Henry's Dad, Sorelle Marsh as Henry's Mum, Alwyne Taylor as the Librarian, Irfan Damani as Clare's Dad, Alexandra Doar as Clare's Mum, Alex Lodge as Jason/Mark, and Helena Pipe as Dr. Kendrick. Rounding out the talented cast are Billie Hardy, Daniel George-Wright, Serina Mathew, Nathaniel Purnell, and Bobby Windebank. The role of Young Clare and Alba will be shared among Ava Critchell, Lily Hanna, Poppy Pawson, and Holly-Jade Roberts.
Bill Buckhurst takes the helm as the director of the show, while Anna Fleischle handles the design aspects. The choreography is orchestrated by Shelley Maxwell, with Lucy Carter and Rory Beaton responsible for the lighting design. Chris Fisher is the mastermind behind the illusions, and Andrzej Goulding is in charge of video design. Sound design is curated by Richard Brooker, and musical supervision and arrangement are under the expert guidance of Finlow. Malcolm Edmonstone is the talent behind the orchestrations, and Susanna Peretz oversees wigs, hair, and makeup design. The meticulous casting process is carried out by Grindrod Burton Casting.
