Frankenstein: A New Musical Off-Broadway Story

While Frankenstein A New Musical features the same characters and setting as the original, the focus of this production is the love shared by the characters inhabiting the story. Victor Frankenstein, after losing his beloved mother at a very young age, wages a one-man war against human mortality and after a bout of success and the overconfidence that comes with it, begins entering a territory he isn't equipped to handle. Accompanying him on this journey is Elizabeth, Victor's partner who he loves unconditionally. When Victor refuses to share the same love with the monstrous creature he has created, jealousy rears its ugly head and the creature takes its revenue on Victor's family. What happens next forms the crux of this retelling.

About St. Luke's Theatre

A small theatre located at St. Luke's Lutheran Church at 308 West 46th Street just west of Eight Avenue in Manhattan's Theater District, St. Luke's Theatre is a part of the iconic Restaurant Row. The theatre is cheekily referred to as the"home of off-Broadway hits" and while it has gone on to host some stellar productions, the interiors and seating of the theatre leave something to be desired. With just 174 seats in total, St. Luke's Theatre is one of the smallest venues off-Broadway and often feels like the basement of a church. The theatre is currently operated by Edmund Gaynes and the West End Artists Company.
