What to See at SUMMIT One Vanderbilt?

It is more than just an observatory. The four floors of the venue are riddled with exciting sensory exhibits and installations. Don’t forget to have a look at these attractions while you’re at the SUMMIT One Vanderbilt Observation Deck.

Air

Air is an immersive art experience at the observatory conceptualized and created by multimedia artist Kenzo Digital. It is divided into 5 unique segments that are designed to introduce you to a structureless world of reflection, boundless space, and a dramatic play of lights at Sunset.

Levitation

Once you are finished with Air, step into a Levitation skybox: a glass ledge suspended at a height of 1,400 feet above Madison Avenue. Looking down at the transparent glass floor is said to give you the feeling of being weightless while towering above the city.

Après

Treat your tastebuds to a one-of-a-kind dining experience at Après, a restaurant with an indoor lounge and an open-air terrace inside the 93-story One Vanderbilt building. Enjoy the repose of its tranquil ambiance, starkly different from the high energy of the city below.

Reflect

Also known as the Cloud Room, this installation was put together in 2019 by the eccentric Yayoi Kusama, a renowned artist from Japan. The installation is a collection of seemingly soft, light, and metallic cloud-like objects that immediately capture your attention, warping themselves the more you focus on it!

Ascent

Hop on the glass-walled SUMMIT One Vanderbilt elevators that scale the mighty One Vanderbilt from the outside! Watch the see-through floor as you take off from the ground and are lifted 1,400 feet into the air. Suddenly everything on the ground appears smaller and the NYC skyline comes into view, a truly exhilarating perspective.
