St. Martin's Theatre Stalls

The Stalls area of the St. Martin’s Theatre has 251 seats spread across 14 rows. It is divided into four sections, with one big section facing the stage and the rest three sections below the overhang, which are divided by two aisles. The stalls have some of the best seats in the theatre and come at a premium price. The rows are named A-N with row A being closest to the stage. The middle seats 6-16 of the rows D-H have the best views of the stage and are also the best seats in the theatre.

St. Martin's Theatre Dress Circle

St. Martin’s Theatre Dress Circle area has 123 seats spread across six rows. The Dress Circle area is divided into three sections that are separated by two aisles. The center section of the Dress Circle is quite close to the stage and offers unhindered views. The seats are also well-raked and the seats even at the back of the Dress Circle are quite good. The seats (A1-3, B1, and A24-26) at either end of the section where the floor curves, blocks a small part of the stage. Seat F1 is also a wheelchair accessible seat, and you can access it via a ramp from the Dress Circle entrance.

St. Martin's Theatre Upper Circle

The Upper Circle at the St. Martin’s Theatre has 153 seats across eight rows. The Upper Circle area is divided into two sections by an aisle. The rows are A-H, with A being closest to the stage. The rows A, B, and C have somewhat obstructed views due to the safety railing. The seats are very steep and people with vertigo are advised against sitting in this section. There is very little leg room and it is best to choose aisle seats if you are especially tall. These seats are also the cheapest in the theatre but don’t necessarily have the best viewing experience as the seats can appear far away from the stage.

Which Seats Offer The Best View?

A great seat with comfortable and clear views of the stage guarantees a good time at the theatre. Here are our suggestions to get the best views at the St. Martin’s Theatre to watch The Mousetrap.

Seats 6-16 in rows D-G in the Stalls offer the best views of the St. Martin’s Theatre and are also the most expensive in the house. They are in the center of the theatre and a bit away from the stage which means it is quite at the eye level. The seats 6-18 in the rows A-E and the entire F row of the Dress Circle also offer great views and are often at the same ticket price as the premium seats of the Stalls.

Which Seats Offer the Best Value for Money?

The Mousetrap is a must-watch play at West End and if you are on a budget then you may find these seat recommendations useful when you book tickets for the play.

In the Stalls, the seats 1-5 and 18-22 of all the rows A-H are at a good price, available at almost 30% lower than the premium tickets. They offer similar views of the stage and offer a wholesome viewing experience. In the Dress Circle, the two side sections are good and offer complete value for money. You can pick any seat in the dress circle and be guaranteed of a good view. The Upper Circle has the cheapest tickets and the aisle seats of 9 & 10 of rows D-H offer the best value for money as they have decent views of the stage with room to stretch your legs in the aisle.
