Standing at the Sky's Edge's preliminary cast has been revealed for its 2024 West End transfer at Gillian Lynne Theatre.

Standing at the Sky's Edge has revealed its initial cast for the West End tranfer at Gillian Lynne Theatre. The show will begin its run from 8 February, 2024.


The cast and creatives

Standing at the Sky's Edge's cast has been revealed, and it comprises of a talented ensemble. Elizabeth Ayodele (Small Island) takes on the role of Joy, Joel Harper-Jackson (Cock) portrays Harry, Sharlene Hector (A Strange Loop) embodies Grace, Mel Lowe (Orlando) becomes Connie, Laura Pitt-Pulford (Seven Brides for Seven Brothers) steps into the character of Poppy, and Lauryn Redding (Bloody Elle) portrays Nikki. Returning to reprise their roles are Samuel Jordan (Masters of the Air) as Jimmy, Baker Mukasa (The Comedy of Errors) as George, Alastair Natkiel (Line of Duty) as Marcus, and Rachael Wooding (Pretty Woman: The Musical) as Rose.

The creative team includes a book by Chris Bush and music and lyrics composed by Richard Hawley. Earlier this year, the production received the Olivier Award for Best New Musical. Helmed by director Robert Hastie, the creative team also encompasses set and costume designer Ben Stones, choreographer Lynne Page, orchestrator, arranger, and original music supervisor Tom Deering, lighting designer Mark Henderson, sound designer Bobby Aitken, and wigs, hair, and makeup designer Cynthia De La Rosa. The casting direction is overseen by Stuart Burt.
