Based on a hilarious new play by Richard Bean, the famed author of the spirited, award-winning Broadway comedy One Man, Two Guvnors, comes The Nap. Casting a comical look at the world of snooker, the British version of pool, the show is outright funny and a must watch if you’re looking to enjoy one and a half hours of absolute mayhem and fun on the stage. The production has assembled a talented cast that will keep you laughing and entertained throughout. The best part about this fast-paced comedy thriller? Well, there’s an exciting twist where the snooker tournament unfolds live on stage! How’s that for a spectacular finish to a show you wish didn’t end?

The Manhattan Theatre Club will open its 2018-19 season with the Broadway premiere of The Nap. The production launched first in London where it got rave reviews. After the successful London production, the comedy is making its way to Broadway with previews scheduled to begin from September 5th and opening night set for September 27th at the Samuel J. Friedman Theatre.

The Story of The Nap

The Nap follows Dylan Spokes, a rising star in the world of snooker. The play begins as Dylan arrives for a championship tournament, where he is warned by the authorities about the consequences of match fixing. After a series of baffling and hilarious events, Dylan finds himself dealing with a bunch of outrageous and over-the-top characters that include his ex-convict father, sassy mom, talkative manager, and a famous gangster. All this set to a live snooker tournament and you have got yourself a play unlike any other you have seen on Broadway!
