Guided Tours in Rome

Tour guide was very knowledgeable and enthusiastic. The climb up the dome of St. Peter's and the Sistine Chapel were the highlights. We enjoyed the museums too.

I had the chance to take a guided tour of St. Peter’s Basilica with Sam, and I highly recommend him. It was simply amazing! Sam speaks perfect French; he’s very understanding, attentive, and takes the time to answer all questions. He is an expert on his subject: his knowledge is impressive, and he knows how to convey it clearly and engagingly, without ever being too academic. The tour was punctuated by captivating anecdotes that made the experience even more vivid. He showed us everything with great pedagogy and enthusiasm. Plus, he really made the tour easier for us by letting us know how to handle the wait to get into the dome, which is a real bonus! Honestly, it was perfect from start to finish. Visiting the Vatican Museums was honestly one of those experiences that’s hard to fully put into words. I expected it to be impressive, but I didn’t realize just how massive and intense it would feel until I was actually there. It’s not just a museum but it feels like you’re walking through layers of history, one room after another. What I liked most was how every section had a different vibe. Some rooms felt so grand and detailed that you almost didn’t know where to look, while others felt calmer and gave you space to slow down a bit. I caught myself pausing more than I usually would in a museum, just to take in the small details of the ceilings, the colors, the expressions in the artwork. The Sistine Chapel was definitely the highlight. Even though it was crowded and a bit chaotic, there was still this quiet sense of awe in the room. Looking up at the ceiling in real life just hits differently and it’s way more powerful than any photo you’ve seen before. That said, it can get pretty overwhelming. There’s a lot of walking, a lot of people, and honestly, a lot to take in. After a while, everything starts to blur together if you’re not careful. If I could do it again, I’d probably focus on a few sections instead of trying to see everything. Overall, I’m really glad I went. It’s one of those places that lives up to the hype, even if it’s a bit exhausting. Definitely something I’ll remember for a long time.

Access to the meeting point was blocked, but the office responded immediately and apologized politely, even though they weren't to blame for the situation. A new meeting point was arranged right away, everything went perfectly, and the staff who escorted us to the entrance were super friendly despite the stress. Thanks for the great experience!

We arrived at the designated meeting point 10 minutes early; there was a separate line for those who already had tickets, and the process was quick and efficient. It was a beautiful venue, much larger than we had imagined—an experience I highly recommend. I recommend buying tickets here in advance if you want to avoid lines and enjoy a fully immersive experience.

I had a great tour with Sharon! She is very knowledgeable about the history of the sites we stopped at, was able to answer all of our questions, and even gave us tips as local. The tour was on schedule without feeling rushed and covered Trevi Fountain as well as other notable sites in the area. I highly recommend this tour with Sharon as your guide!

The guide gave us a good overview. Maybe we should have spent a little more time at the Forum and Palatine Hill. I don't think we saw all the important sights. But it was okay and interesting.
