I liked the attitude expressed in the interview by the mayor of Vienna about the imminent takeover by the Kickl FPÖ. Vienna, in fact the whole of Austria, must retain its cosmopolitan social climate and freedom of discourse. A radical right-wing government that betrays the idea of European cooperation and integration endangers the well-being of Vienna and Austria and is not worthy of this country. May Vienna maintain its magic.

We were there very early on a very cold day. The advantage was that we were able to look at the animals unhindered and many species were still very curious. There is a lot to see with the elephants at around 10am, as they are practiced with them in order to be prepared for examinations.
