Our guide was fantastic. Unfortunately, I don't recall his name. Our tour was in both Spanish and English and our guide was equally fluid in both languages. Very knowledgeable and eloquent. Made the experience more than worthwhile.

The 3-course menu was typically Austrian. Delicious. The timing was perfect. The Orangery is an atmospheric place. Very nicely designed (light show) for the concert. A lively evening with the classics of Mozart and Strauss. Small orchestra with a lot of potential. Highlight: the Radetzky March to clap along. A very successful evening.

People at the site were exceptionally helpful and friendly. The arrangement of the visit is very well designed. The audioguide is a little bit long. Indications were not always easily understandables. There was so many people visiting, that was difficult to see everything.

Schönbrunn Palace, located in Vienna, Austria, receives a high volume of tourists and is considered one of the top attractions in Europe. The palace had served as a hunting lodge since the 16th Century under the Habsburg dynasty. It took its current form between 1742 and late 1770 during the reign of Empress Maria Theresa. Schönbrunn Palace has been the summer home to the imperial family since the late 18th century and now it is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The destination is popular among tourists who can explore palace gardens, visit imperial apartments, and learn about the history of the Habsburg dynasty. Visitors can also enjoy classical music concerts at the palace, which are performed by world-class performers and are famous all over the world.
Schönbrunn Palace in Vienna is a must-visit, no matter whether you're a tourist or a local. The grand and charming atmosphere of the Baroque palace is quite unique, and you’ll be hard-pressed to find it elsewhere. There is plenty to do at the Schönbrunn Palace. Guests can explore the extensive property, with the garden, the zoo, the orangery and other attractions. Once you’re inside the palace, you can visit more than 40 display rooms with extravagant and unique decor and artistic elements. Schönbrunn Palace is also the venue for some of Vienna's most spectacular concerts and is on the bucket list of all classical music enthusiasts. From internationally acclaimed soloists and orchestras to chamber music and opera performances, there is something for everyone at this stunning venue.
The Schönbrunn Palace has a rich history dating back to 1569 when it was acquired by Emperor Maximilian II as a hunting estate. The palace underwent numerous renovations throughout the centuries and was eventually expanded by Emperor Leopold I who commissioned Austrian architect Johann Fischer von Erlach to create an expansive Baroque-style palace. It served as the main summer residence for the imperial family under Empress Maria Theresa in the late 18th Century. Today, Schönbrunn Palace is one of the most visited tourist attractions in Europe, not only because of its impressive architecture but also for its vast array of cultural, architectural and entertainment offerings.
A magnificent example of Baroque architecture, the Schönbrunn Palace’s design is credited to Johann Fischer von Erlach and Nikolaus Pacassi. From the exterior, the grandiose size and impressive yellow colour scheme set it apart from other buildings. Inside, ornate marble staircases, golden chandeliers, frescoed ceilings and vast halls give visitors a glimpse into the lavish lifestyle of the imperial family. One of the highlights is the Rococo-style Hall of Mirrors, where guests can admire some stunning gilded mirrorwork and glittering chandeliers. The beautiful gardens offer a tranquil escape from the hustle and bustle of Vienna, with a variety of plants, fountains and sculptures to admire, making the palace truly a sight to behold.
