We didn't really benefit much from the discounts, since we could also use the senior discount, which was even better. It was nice not to have to worry about buying tickets, and we also used the transit pass all the way out to the outlying areas.

Unlimited travel with the Vienna City Card was great. It makes your vacation much easier. Unfortunately, not all of the offers, attractions, and museums included with the card are listed in the app. Note: In some cases, prices on the respective attraction’s website or at the on-site ticket counter are cheaper than in the app—even though the discount from the promo code is already factored in. The app’s performance also leaves something to be desired. I only gave it 5 stars because I tapped the wrong button on my phone.

The Vienna City Card was absolutely worth it! It helped us discover amazing places we probably wouldn’t have found otherwise, including an outstanding restaurant where we had one of the best meals of our trip. Seamless activation

Your card can be activated within a period of 6 months from purchase.

It is valid for 24/48/72 hours or 7 days from your first use.

After purchasing a Vienna City Card, you will receive an 8-digit activation code in your order confirmation. Use this code on the ivie app to activate your pass.

The 24/48/72-hour tickets are valid for the specific duration you chose during booking.

The 7-day ticket is valid for the calendar days you selected while booking.

The Discounts Only card is valid for 7 calendar days from the date selected during purchase.

Additional information

One child up to the age of 15 or one dog can travel for free with one adult Vienna City Card.

After purchasing a Vienna City Card, you will receive an 8-digit activation code in your order confirmation. Use this code on the ivie app to activate your pass.
