Things to do in New York

Experience a Disney North Pole adventure at Pier 17 in New York City!

Last Updated:

In a dazzling fusion of pop culture and festive cheer, The Rooftop at Pier 17 brings a slice of Disney magic to the heart of New York City! It’s like stepping into a scene from one of Disney classics, where Frozen meets the heartwarming charm of Mickey’s Once Upon a Christmas.

This year's theme is Disney’s The Santa Clauses Winter Wonderland, and the event promises to be a highlight of the holiday season. Spread over an impressive 65,000 square feet, the venue has been transformed into a captivating North Pole paradise, complete with a stunning panoramic view of New York City's iconic skyline, if the decor wasn’t enough of a crowd-puller!

🤩 Great! What can I expect?

Well, for starters, you can glide across Manhattan’s unique rooftop (synthetic) skating rink, surrounded by breathtaking views of the city skyline. This year's eco-friendly, synthetic rink enhances the skating experience, adding a sustainable touch to the festivities. A much-needed tradition to encourage one and all!

Then, there’s Santa's sleigh overlooking the water that you can explore, dinner at one of the private cabins, and a LOT of seasonal treats to indulge in! There’s Judy’s hot cocoa-inspired cafe where you can stay warm with some delicious hot chocolate.

Oh, let’s not forget to check out Santa's living room, complete with a cozy fireplace, which provides the perfect backdrop for some great photos.

There’s also the North Pole VIP Lounge for those of us who want a more exclusive experience, with some cozy indoor seating, a special menu, and a lovely place to just unwind with loved ones. All in all, it’s truly a Christmas miracle and we couldn’t have asked for more.
