In 1967, Queen Elizabeth II personally inaugurated the Queen Elizabeth Hall on the South Bank of London. With its capacity of 916 seats and an impressive Brutalist design by Hubert Bennett, Jack Whittle, F.G. West, and Geoffrey Horsefall, the Hall offers an elegant and unobstructed setting for music gigs, theatre performances, and other events. After undergoing renovations for nearly three years, Queen Elizabeth Hall reopened its doors in April 2018. The revamped venue boasts improved access facilities, enhanced ventilation and lighting systems, and cutting-edge production infrastructure.

Due to its spaciousness and remarkable acoustics, Queen Elizabeth Hall is ideal for hosting world-class classical music performances, jazz, engaging talks and captivating dance performances. It has attracted eminent personalities from various fields, with appearances by figures such as JK Rowling, the author of the Harry Potter series, and Jonny Greenwood from the iconic band Radiohead.
