When you're in Spain, you know that the day begins late, since a lot of them are not morning folk! So to avoid crowds during a full-day Alhambra tour, pick the early morning slot on a weekday. Avoid midday when tour groups are most active, and the sun is at its peak. Alternatively, the Nasrid Palace at night is beautiful. So, you can plan to visit early evening, get sunset views over the palace and its gardens, have dinner, and then join the night tour of the palace.
