Unfortunately, the priority access to the Jerónimos Monastery didn't work out, since a long line had already formed in front of the monastery and everyone had a Lisboa Card. I would recommend booking a timed entry slot online. Using public transportation went really smoothly.

I would visit this place again easily! Being mobile is a must- many stairs, slippery surfaces, and hiking paths. It is so beautiful both the castle and the grounds. Plan on spending hours here. We were there for 4!

Quinta da Regaleira is an absolute must-see, especially for those who love mysterious and mystical places. However, be sure to set aside extra time for the journey. We were late for our appointment due to a fire on the road and the resulting traffic. Sintra is a small town with very narrow streets, and since it was impossible for our cab to take an alternative route, we had to hike downhill and then back uphill. Even though we missed our scheduled entrance time, the staff was kind enough to let us in anyway. You need at least 3 hours to fully see and enjoy the park and the castle. If you have the time, I also highly recommend visiting Biester Palace; it is very close to Quinta da Regaleira and easy to see on the same day.

We thoroughly enjoyed our day touring the Morrish Castle and Quinta da Regaleria during the off season. We enjoyed seeing the cat and sights at the Moorish Castle. We parked our car at the free parking in Sintra and used a tuk tuk to get around and were grateful for the option!

A wonderful visit. Beautiful places, so much to see—you really have to keep your eyes open and look in every direction.
