I liked the view, the Mauritanian courtyard, the tiles and the tour of the pinnacle. The information about the time slot was misleading and meant that we had to wait in the blazing sun.

Palace was beautiful. Quinta regaleira was beautiful, although line for Initiation Well was so long we did not have time to do . We did not know how to access the transportation from Pena Park to the palace, and did not know how to navigate around the park, because it is enormous! Perhaps too much to try to do those two things in one day?

It is an architectural marvel and you’ll be enchanted by the stunning views of Lisbon from the second-highest vantage point on the Sintra Hills. You will come across detailed interiors influenced by Middle Eastern & baroque European cultures. The state rooms have been carefully restored to their original state as they were in 1910 to give you the real feel of the era of Romanticism. Many of the original fittings still remain in the Palace. You can end your tour by exploring the lush park of Pena, full of winding paths, pavilions, ponds, magical fountains, statues & lovely exotic plants spanning 85 hectares. You can also upgrade your ticket to include convenient round-trip transportation between the main entrance of the Park and the Palace.

** National Palace of Queluz & Gardens **

The National Palace and Gardens of Queluz dates back to the 18-century and has been home to generations of Portuguese Royal Family. Bathe in the beauty and grandeur of this lavish castle as you walk its richly decorated halls & rooms. It is often referred to as “Portuguese Versailles” due to its brilliance and architectural exuberance. There is an expected wait time of 15-20 mins at the entrance/security.
Please note that access to this monument is not authorized to private vehicles.
You can upgrade to include a round-trip transfer from the park entrance to the palace.

Facilities: Wheelchair Accessible, Guide-Dog Friendly.
