Absolutely incredible experience! The 2-hour guided tour of Pompeii was the perfect way to explore this vast archaeological site without feeling overwhelmed. Our English-speaking guide was not only incredibly knowledgeable but also passionate about Roman history, which made the ruins come to life in an unforgettable way. The tour covered the highlights of the ancient city, including the Forum, the baths, the brothel (Lupanar), and several well-preserved homes with frescoes still intact. The guide provided fascinating context about daily life in Pompeii before the eruption of Mount Vesuvius, weaving in stories that made it feel personal and engaging. It was the right balance of walking and listening—never rushed, and plenty of time to take photos and ask questions. Headsets were provided so we could hear everything clearly, even in busier sections of the site. I highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Pompeii for the first time. It saves you hours of wandering aimlessly and gives you a much deeper understanding of what you’re seeing. Two hours flew by, and I left with a sense of awe at the complexity and tragedy of this once-thriving Roman city.

Quick and easy purchase of tickets to many sites and programs, plus it's paper free. We visited the archeological site of Herculaneum, a real gem near Neaples where we reconnected with the ancient ages of Italy. If you don't have that much time to go to Pompei, Herculanum is just for you.

The tour was great there was a guide on bus that told you a Little about what you were seeing and a bit of history. Only wish we could have stopped at the top of Mount Vesuvius. Tho you do get to stop at an observation spot for a few quick pics. The guide we had at Pompeii was excellent she was very knowledgeable and fun. Also she tried to keep you in the shade as much as possible. The pizza place was alright only problem is drinks weren't included and it's 4 euros for a coke. There then that it was an awesome experience!

Last minutes changes put ne in a bit of a rush. Appreciate that they accomodate and wait for my arrival to start. Micheal the guide/archeologist was a fountain of knowledge, he made it all well worth it. Both Pompeii and Ercolano are well worth visiting.

I was genuinely shocked by how many artifacts from Pompei made it through. The museum has an EXPANSIVE collection. If you're someone that likes to read the signs and get as much as you can out of your visit, I'd say to allot 5 hours, at least. I focused on the artifacts relating to Vesuvius, and then glossed over the other parts of the museum, and it still took a sold 5 hours. Take aways that were different than I had expected- there are no casts of the victims at this museum (and if there are, I somehow missed them, and I would be so bummed!) But what I got was a comprehensive overview of what life may have been like there. Any disappointment to not have seen the figures (victims) I'd initially anticipated seeing was replaced by an appreciation for how much more I know now about the life and culture of the cities affected by Mt. Vesuvius. When I go to Pompei tomorrow, I know that everything I saw today will make the ruins "come to life" and be a much more textural experience, rather than just seeing ruins and trying to take a guess at what life may have looked and felt like. Aside from the impressive collection, the museum itself is a gorgeous building to be in- I didn't have a map, but it's sort of shaped like capital "I" and the halls that adjoin the wings on both ends are just stunning. There is a cafe, a lounge, and plenty of other opportunities for giving your feet, back, or brain a rest- including two gardens. I highly recommend this museum. The staff were all incredibly pleasant and helpful. (Tip: The bathrooms are on the bottom floor)
