Mount Vesuvius Tickets & Tours

All perfect. Transfer shuttle arrived well in advance to the meeting point (in front of Hotel Ramada, Naples). Driver (Aniello) courteous and kind who anticipated us some info related to Vesuvius. Challenging but beautiful walking route with breathtaking views. Comprehensive guide with detailed decription even if a bit short. Fascinating arrival at the cone. Magnificent experience.

We enjoyed the convenience of the trip to Vesuvio. Our only complaint was that we were told we would have a guide which gave us the impression a guide was assigned to our group. Instead we arrived at the top to be told a guide would arrive shortly and was not assigned to our specific group. Then we waited for a random guide for over fifteen minutes. Being aware of the time to meet our bus, we decided to continue walking to the top and take in the views. So our only complaint is that a guide really isn't part of the ticket price but a guide that is already there for any tour group.

We enjoyed this trip going to Mount Vesuvius! The bus took us as far as cars can go to the top. From there, there's a 20-30 minute walk (wear sturdy shoes) in sandlike gravel. We had plenty of time to go all around the volcano and still get back down in time to look at the souvenir shops. Definitely recommend this trip! We were a bit worried reading all the reviews that there would be no time for a bathroom break before departure. However, this was NOT an issue for us. We arrived 10 minutes before as stated on the ticket. Do not worry but know this - no bathrooms before you get back.

We were picked up on time and had a great hike up to the hill. Even tho it's crowded the view over Napoli is quite rewarding.

The majority of the trip was wonderful. Comfortable coach, friendly staff, amazing destination. We had a bit of a problem on arrival though as our 6 year old needed a ticket, despite it being free. This was quite stressful as for a while it looked like we would not be able to do Vesuvius after all, or at least one of us wouldn't be able to. The man from the agency says this had changed recently and you hadn't known and he worked really hard to find a solution. (Maybe more communication in English as my husband didn't know what was going on and I did but I can speak italian so he must have just said in italian - or maybe this is my husband's fault as he doesn't hear what I say either!) Eventually it was sorted and as there was no option of another bus he delayed the return so we would have the amount of time we were meant to have.

Very beautiful place steeped in history, water fountains available, small downside the entrance fee was more expensive online than if we had paid on site.

It was a small group and the pickup was on time. There was enough time to climb Vesuvius and back to the drop off point...all went smoothly and would definitely recommend headout, it was my first time booking but definitely not my last!
