Our guide Luciano Leone was a fun, interesting and knowledgeable guide to take us through Erculano. Our group of six had a 13 year old child who was very interested in archeology. Luciano was sure to include her. We were very pleased with our guide and we received great value for the price. 😙

Herculaneum was fabulous. My experience with the audio guide was horrible. The location was never accurate, when I tried to manually go to a location, it would kick me back to where it thought I was. Thankfully, we picked up a paper map on site. Turned off the audio guide after 30 minutes of utter frustration.

Anna, our guide, was knowledgeable about Herculaneum and its history. She was both matter of fact and emotional, showing emotion about the deaths of those bodies found on site. She answered all questions clearly and was easy to understabd.

Our guide was excellent. He took his time, had great insights, and fully answered any questions that were asked. The museum that was added since our last visit is really spectacular. The items included in the museum are incredible to view.

Le billet est daté mais sans contrainte d'heure, vous pouvez venir quand vous le souhaitez ! Pensez à demander un plan du parc. J'avais téléchargé l'audio guide, il est relativement facile à utiliser et enrichit bien la visite.

This is an experience that should not be missed- Herculaneum is really extraordinary and brings to life how the Romans really lived. It is also exceptionally good value for money. However, it would surely be possible to improve the visitor experience by having an audio guide that clearly links where you are to the audio you are listening to. The numbering on the buildings is inconsistent with the audio guide so it is confusing and frustrating. Also, it is clear that there is a lot more to be said than is in the audio guide- some on-site information would also be great, for example, what the purpose was of the different rooms, etc. Nevertheless loved it :)

    • Some ramp access can be arranged at the entrance for those with motor disabilities, though not all parts of the site can be reached.

    • Accessible restrooms are available.

    • There is no facility for storing luggage on-site.
