I went to see this incredible show on my Birthday, and oh what a birthday it was! This is truly a once in a lifetime performance. The cast is breathtaking, their voices soar and leave you breathless. Special mention to Eurydice who really grabbed me and shook me to the core... The set design is so clever! I live how the underworld is represented with the different platform levels! Hearing Wait for me live (both versions) made me tear up. I will ́ever forget this moment. To the cast and crew, thank you from the bottom of my heart for making my birthday the best one I've ever had. I wish you continued success. It might be a Sad Song, but oh boy am I going to play it again, and again, and again...

This was the best show I have seen in my life. Watching it on the last night for so many of the actors brought a special energy that I have never experienced before. Though I have never seen that cast live, their performance showed why they were chosen for what they do. Every person on that stage contributed heavily to the atmosphere and I am confident that the next cast will be as incredible as the last. I 100% recommend this show to anyone who is visiting the area. It is an unforgettable, magical show which will stay with you forever.

I saw Hadestown with original cast in New York and was really captivated by the London production. It was of course essentially the same production but in a smaller scale, executed very well. The performances were all spring and individually nuanced. The set was clean and very practical. The singing was impressive and I was especially impressed by the warmth and subtlety of the performers interpretations. A true delight!

It was Hadestown's first time for my two friends and i; we had absolutely no idea what to expect, but our imaginations could never have matched what we witnessed! Everything was magnificent: the music, the dences, the singing, the staging, the lighting, the costumes, the actors' performances. The play truly made us experience and feel the emotions. It's really something you'll never Forget!

This was my wife and I's last night in London. This was also our first show in London. It was beyond extraordinary. This Hadestown cast was top notch and we thoroughly enjoyed every second of it. The Lyric is gorgeous and contains so much character. As this was our 4th visit to London, a trip to see a show will forever be included in our itinerary.

This was my first musical ever and I have to say this was better than what I could have ever dreamed of. The staff is very helpful and friendly when arriving which creates a warm atmosphere! But then the whole cast of singers and the crew creates such a magical moment! The emotions are very well transmitted and everyone can enjoy the music!

After opening to rave reviews and critical acclaim, Anaïs Mitchell and Rachel Chavkin’s Hadestown was nominated for 14 Tony Awards in 2019, a record-breaking number, and won 8 of them. It also holds a Grammy Award for Best Musical Theatre Album. So, there is no doubt that Hadestown in London is going to be a phenomenal experience. Get your tickets for Hadestown before they run out. The story

A story about the trials and tribulations of love, Hadestown focuses on two couples — the poverty-ridden Orpheus and Eurydice and the King of the Underworld, Hades and his wife, Persephone. When Persephone is miserable about returning to the Underworld after she visits the world above, Hades heads out to search for someone who will appreciate the offerings of his home. He finds Eurydice and convinces her to move to the Underworld in exchange for food and protection. Eurydice agrees and becomes a worker at Hadestown, the dark underground factory of Hades. When Orpheus finds out, he vows to save Eurydice. What follows is a heartbreaking tale of sacrifice, triumph and the mysterious machinations of fate.

I've been in WestEnd theaters before for other Musicals, and up until now Hamilton has been my absolute favorite. HadesTown is, so far, the only musical I'd compare to Alexander's history, for actors, songs, coreographies and stage. The plot is easy to follow (even for who's native language is not english) but full of concepts that mix very well together: romanticism, independence -economic and personal-, growth, trust, to be resilient towards life's difficulties and to build strong connections that last even during colder times. I cried a lot, but laughed too! The actors were amazing, not to mention that I love this album: surely some of the best songs among the musical panorama. Loved the stage as well: how the representations of the worlds would have been done was one of my biggest questions! Surely I approved the stage design, and, lastly, to be face to face with the musicians is the top notch detail that helps the public connect even more with the musical. Absolutely, a night you should gift yourself with!

I've seen many musicals. Hadestown is unbeatably number one. The story, cast, and fascinating stage performance with its intense atmosphere captivated me and all the other audience members right from the start. I would have loved to stay seated for another hour to process what I had just seen. A musical that lingers long after the curtain falls.

A beautiful story, magnificently performed, with remarkable vocals and an almost perfect experience. From our seats on the balcony, H 23 and 24, we couldn't see the whole stage, but that didn't stop us from being dazzled by the show.
