Amazing performance by all. Having watched part of the film the night before....the musical was exactly the same. The dancing and singing was excellent. Loved every bit of it and have recommended it to other family members.

Well-equipped theater, perfect visibility even from the last row. For 1 pound, you could unlock small binoculars to see better. Engaging music and a top-notch cast. Phenomenal scene changes.

The Devil Wears Prada musical at the Dominion Theatre in London’s West End is a high-energy, dazzling spectacle. Starring Vanessa Williams as the icy Miranda Priestly and featuring a vibrant pop score by Elton John, the show delivers plenty of fashion-forward fun and nostalgic laughs, though critics remain somewhat divided on its musical depth.Review: The Devil Wears Prada in the West EndThe ProsStar Power: Vanessa Williams commands the stage as Miranda Priestly, bringing icy glamour, sharp wit, and powerhouse vocals to the iconic role.Dazzling Production: Jerry Mitchell’s slick direction and choreography, paired with vibrant lighting and eye-catching costumes, create a true party atmosphere.Crowd-Pleasing Humor: The production stays faithful to the beloved cult film, keeping iconic, laugh-out-loud lines intact.Strong Supporting Cast: Performers like Matt Henry (Nigel) and the actors playing Emily inject immense energy and stellar vocals into the ensemble. The ConsSurface-Level Impact: Some emotional beats from the original story feel rushed, favoring glossy style over genuine dramatic depth.Uneven Score: While upbeat and catchy, a few of Elton John’s numbers and orchestrations lean generic rather than groundbreaking.

A superb show with wonderful performances, songs, and choreography (and a variety of costumes, too)! The sets are beautifully crafted and appear and disappear “naturally”! It’s also a pleasure to be transported back in time through the actors’ wonderful performances! This musical is a real treat!

The musical was thrilling; the choreography captures the atmosphere of the film, the costumes are beautiful (as you’d expect!), and the music is very captivating. Kudos to the entire cast and crew, with a special mention for Matt Henry. Vanessa Williams and Georgie Buckland were extraordinary.

    The story

Fresh out of college, Andy Sachs lands a coveted job at Runway magazine, under the icy reign of editor-in-chief Miranda Priestly. What begins as a career move soon turns into a battle of identity, values, and ambition. As Andy climbs the fashion ranks, she must decide: Is this glamorous world worth the cost? The answer might come at a price she didn’t expect…

    Critics reviews

“When the musical embraces camp, it does it well … fans of the iconic film looking for a high-energy night will find plenty to enjoy.”

    – London Theatre

“Despite songs from Elton John, this stage adaptation of the classic film is a decent comedy but a lousy musical.”

    – Time Out

    "A dazzling runway spectacle."

Venue is very nice, drinks at seat were the best idea, cast were great. The show clearly follows the movie very strongly and Vanessa was a great choice for the Miranda role.
