If you thought the Palm Jumeirah is one of those places in Dubai that are a bit of a no-go zone unless you have wheels, think again. Thanks to the Palm Monorail - the first monorail to be constructed in the Middle East, you can go from The Palm (starting at the Gateway station) to the recently-constructed Nakheel Mall, all while enjoying spectacular, unobstructed views of the sea and the island. The monorail, in fact, is a fully-elevated, double-tracked system with about 1,000 meters of track running over the sea. Apart from being a convenient mode of transport from the entrance of Palm Jumeirah to Nakheel Mall, it is also simply a fun ride. No wonder it’s so popular - around a million people use the monorail every year!

Get a taxi to the Gateway station either from Internet City Metro station or your location

You could also use the Metro to travel to the Marina where you can change to the Tram and then go to the Palm Gateway Station
