I'm not normally a fan of musicals so arrived not expecting much: I found the experience not just a visual feast of movement and design but very emotional. I cried a lot - it was allegorical of slavery: Simba's story of being usurped from his homeland and his birthright: as he got older falling in love and shouldering responsibility (the circle of life). The cast were uniformly wonderful. It was a spectacle - the children were all kept engaged by the characters and the set design was very clever eg a stampeded of wildebeest. My favourite character was Rafiki - she had a wonderful voice. Thank you!

The Lion King is a magical theatre experience. The story is as old as time yet timeless in it's themes. When the sun arose frome the centre of the stage you could imagine the strength of its rays. The costume design of the various animals was so incredibly creative. I felt transported to another continent when I saw the giraffes saunter across the stage. The music was felt deep in my heart with the beautiful voices and percussion of the bongo drums. The dancing was joyful to watch and admire. This theatre production will appeal to both young and old alike!

The best show always! Everything is very professional, costumes are great and very colorful, the music is amazing and contagious, the effects and lights makes you feel you are in the movie, everything works and is synchronized perfectly. Is a long show but totally worth it and have a little break in the middle. I was on the top part and still enjoyed a lot. Theater was full which means they keep up with the quality. Easy to enter and staff helps you to find your seat or the bathroom or anything you need. Good costumer service.

The venue (The Lyceum) was well staffed and efficient. Seating was comfortable and the view and audio were great, even in the upper section. The players were engaging and energetic. It's a long running performance, and could easily get stale. Not the case! The dancers were lively, the voices were strong, and the set and costumes were dazzling. So glad we finally had the opportunity to see The Lion King.
