Plot

Nat Turner, an enslaved baptist, is ordered by his owner Samuel Turner, to preach to his fellow slaves to subdue a rising rebellion. Having agreed to do so initially, The Birth of a Nation is Nat’s need for revenge when his brothers are tortured mercilessly. He goes on to orchestrate one of the greatest uprisings ever seen in the Southampton County.
