STORY

Dangal is a fantastic biopic that tells us the story of Mahavir Singh Phogat, a former Indian wrestler, and his daughters Geeta and Babita Phogat. Even though they faced times, from financial constraints to a judgemental society, Mahavir trained his daughters to become world-class fighters in their own right.

He takes over the coaching of his daughters from the NSA (National Sports Academy) and evolves them into being some of the best in the country, winning medals at state and national levels. The journey sees them reach the finals of Commonwealth Games 2010. Battling odds, Geeta goes on to win India's first gold medal in women's wrestling.
