Last week

We took our 2 year old boy Advay for his birthday to Green Planet. It was the perfect outing. The staff was super friendly, and the whole place is structured as an Amazon rainforest. A much needed break from the heat outside. There were all sorts birds from Toucan to Flamengos. We even got pictures with a Sloth. Advay enjoyed it to the fullest as he got to soo many animals and birds which he wouldn't generally in Dubai. There were even Anacondas at the lowest level. We ended with a small meal at the cafe. All in all a perfect outing at The Green Planet. Highly recommend for spending 3-4hrs with family or friends.

Visiting Levels 124 & 125 at Burj Khalifa was one of the highlights of my trip. Even though I had to wait for a while, it was completely worth it. The high-speed elevator ride was exciting, and stepping out onto the observation deck felt surreal. The panoramic views of Dubai’s skyline, desert, and coastline were absolutely breathtaking. It didn’t feel very special to me. At the end of the day, you’re inside a very tall building looking at the city from above. I booked the sunrise slot for Floors 124 and 125, but it didn’t feel any different or extraordinary. Overall, it felt like a waste of money. They do provide a complimentary drink (coffee, tea, or a carbonated soft drink) along with a donut. The coffee and donut were actually very good. The entry is through Dubai Mall. The sunrise slot starts at 5:00 AM, but the actual sunrise was closer to 7:00 AM. At 5:00 AM, the crowd is very low, so you can enjoy a nice view of the city lights at night. As the day begins, the crowd increases significantly. If you’re going for sunrise, you need to go early and secure a good spot. Otherwise, it becomes very crowded, and you may not even get a clear view through the glass — especially at the popular viewpoints. Avoid the extreme north and south ends; the middle section offers a better sunrise view. You can also watch from the stairs leading to Floor 125. In my opinion, the view from Floor 124 is better than Floor 125.

Important Information

Burj Khalifa

Entry to the Burj Khalifa is time-specific. However, once you're inside, you can stay for as long as you like. People on average spend 40-45 minutes at the observatory.

Due to its popularity, you might have to wait anywhere between 15 to 30 minutes in the elevator queue.

No large pieces of luggage are allowed inside the Burj, but you can check them in at the Secure Baggage Area, located near the entrance. Handbags, cameras, and other small accessories are allowed inside. However, any photography for commercial or business purposes at the Burj is strictly prohibited.

Green Planet

Green Planet is wheelchair-friendly.

Food, beverages, and smoking are strictly not allowed in The Green Planet.

You cannot bring monopods, selfie sticks, or tripods into The Green Planet. Flash photography is also not allowed here.

You are entitled to 4 hours of free parking at underground City Walk mall parking with a minimum spend of AED 100 at The Green Planet. You will need to validate your token before exiting, each additional hour is charged at AED 20.
