As for the time of day, we recommend arriving early in the morning to beat the crowds and catch the dam in beautiful morning light. Getting There


Bus

The RTC bus system offers a direct route to the Hoover Dam from Las Vegas. Take the Route 11 bus from the Boulder Highway and Tropicana Avenue stop, located on the south end of the Strip. This bus will take you directly to the dam in about an hour and a half.

Car

If you prefer to drive, you can rent a car or take a taxi or rideshare service. From the Las Vegas Strip, take US-93 south towards Boulder City. The Hoover Dam will be on your right-hand side. Keep in mind that parking can be limited, so it's best to arrive early.
