    The Beam experience

    You get to literally sit on history with the Beam Experience which is inspired by the iconic 1932 photo of workers atop Rockefeller Center. You will get the chance to sit on a suspended steel beam, 12 feet above the observation deck, for an exhilarating photo-op. It’s a must-try for those seeking a bit of thrill during your visit.

  • What to bring

    • To participate in the Beam experience, you must wear close-toed shoes or sandals that fully engage the heel for safety reasons.

    What's not allowed

    • Outside food and beverages are not allowed.

    • Weapons, including glass bottles, lighters, flammable substances, and knives, are strictly prohibited.

    • Do not bring tripods with you.

    • You must be 52 inches (132 cm) or taller to ride the Beam alone. If under 52 inches, guests must be a minimum of 42 inches (107 cm) and be accompanied by an adult.

    • The maximum weight limit to participate in the Beam experience is 300 lbs (136 kg).

    Accessibility

    • The venue is fully wheelchair and stroller accessible. You must be able to transfer yourself from a wheelchair to The Beam independently to participate in that particular experience.

    • You will be provided with printed transcripts and audio headsets.

    • Service dogs are welcome.

    Additional information

    • Tip: Choose the sunset and evening time slots for gorgeous views and great photo ops.

    • In the event The Beam must be closed due to extreme weather conditions, you will be issued a voucher to visit at a later date.

    • All loose personal belongings must be stored in the cubbies located adjacent to The Beam.

    • Your voucher will be emailed to you instantly.

    • Display the voucher on your mobile phone with a valid photo ID at the redemption point.

    • Please arrive at the redemption point 15 mins before the scheduled time of your visit to avoid any delays.
