This was an extraordinary visit to an extremely well-preserved site, frozen in time. The survival of so many wooden artifacts—cots, room panels, and cupboards—brings the daily life of the era vividly to life. It is incredible to think that 80% of the ancient town remains buried beneath modern Ercolano.

I took the latest tour to Vesuvius on Saturday. And guess what, there was not a single other tourist on the bus. The company could have canceled my trip, but no, they didn't. They drove me alone to the start of the trail and then picked me up on time, also completely alone!

A wonderful and awe-inspiring place. You can imagine the people of Herculaneum and the horror they had to live through. Magnificent preservation.

We really enjoyed our single day in the chaotic, fascinating city of Naples. The undisputed highlight was the National Archaeological Museum, which houses stunning artifacts from Pompeii and Herculaneum alongside ancient Egyptian antiquities like mummies. As for the hop-on, hop-off tour, we didn't give ourselves enough time—you need at least two hours just to complete the loop without getting off.

Ciro, our tour guide, was extremely informative, knowledgeable, personable. The tour was guided in a professional, timely and friendly manner. As Pompeii is a major historic area, Ciro captured and shared the essence of the place for everyone to understand and thoroughly enjoy. We really enjoyed our day and time in Pompeii thanks to Ciro.

It's incredible how much you see in a single day—it's wonderful. At Mount Vesuvius, they drop you off just a few meters from the crater and very close to the other viewing platforms.
