Naples for history geeks

We had a wonderful two-hour guided tour of the ruins of Pompeii on 09/29/26. Our guide (Alessandro??) accompanied us with his incredible knowledge—informative, moving, and engaging. This tour and this guide are absolutely recommended!! Thank you so much for this experience!

We traveled from Naples by train, very easy train ride followed by a short (10 minute) walk, the entry process was then easy without the need to print tickets. The site itself was amazing, so much to see and take in, we will go back again.

Recommend by friends. It made entry hassle free . Pompeii was amazing and cast. So much history and so much loss from the lava flows. It was very warm so were a hat and sunscreen

Dr. Grazia was truly professional, knowledgeable, and also fun. She described life in Pompeii so vividly that we felt like we were right there. Truly fantastic!

Had an extremely knowledgeable guide who spoke good English and communicated well with all the party. The headsets were easy to use and efficient. Our guide started by explaining the difference between Pompei and Herculaneum and how those effected what had been found at the two sites. The museum was fascinating and the depth of the excavation is unbelievable.

Impressive catacombs with many historical events connected to them. Very interesting visit. We highly recommend this tour.

Easy and fast access. An explosion of history and color on canvas. The park is fabulous! Greenery and shade. I recommend everyone to use Headout!

A fantastic experience! Simple booking, no line at the entrance, and the Sansevero Chapel is spectacular. Unfortunately, I can't add photos of the inside or the entrance because they state not to take photos and that there will be a QR code at the end to view photos and images on the website, though it's not the exact same thing. I highly recommend booking with the audio guide, which guided us on our discovery of this gem! The tour with the audio guide stops lasts about half an hour. Enjoy your visit, everyone!
