Best things to do in Hamburg

This is our first time traveling via rail in Europe and we had a wonderful time. We only experienced one late train which is saying a lot. We wish transportation worked this well in the US as we would use it much more than driving.

The tour guide was very knowledgeable and was able to tell us a lot about the Elbphilharmonie. It was very hot in Hamburg on July 2. He felt us 90% in shady places where you could stand it. It was really very interesting and it is worth visiting the Elbphilharmonie even without a concert.

We had a WONDERFUL experience on the harbor cruise. Our guide was fun and entertaining (even if we don't speak German). He gave us the QR code to read up on the sites in our home language (English) and we toured more sites than we originally thought. The reception person at the check in site was also very kind, helpful and directed us on where we needed to be. Would absolutely take this cruise again and highly recommend it to others traveling.

Skipper Kai always has a quick wit on his lips and can say something about everything going on in the harbor. Don't even get us started on Omar, the most sought-after young man west of the Elbe... You have to experience it live.
