I went with a friend's 14-year-old son. He thought it was absolutely wonderful and was still talking about it days later. I especially liked the actors, who creatively involved the audience and teased them a bit, but always in good fun. The special effects were fantastic. I don't want to spoil too much! Each room was also completely different, full of little and big surprises. Booking was easy. A thoroughly enjoyable afternoon.

Ein Besuch der sich soooooowas von lohnt. Günstig, super tolle Schauspieler,alle super nett ,Angst einflößend ☠️👻👽 Auch super das das Publikum mit einbezogen werden (Ich 2x) macht riesig Spaß auch für Angsthasen. Und man lernt die Geschichte Hamburg kennen

To be honest, I didn't find admission all that easy... An email with the purchased ticket and barcode—as is common with many other providers—would have been much more convenient. Instead, I was forced to download the app just for a single ticket. Inside the app, it still wasn't straightforward to access the ticket; it had to be downloaded yet again. I was standing at the entrance with only the booking confirmation (there was also no notice stating that the QR code MUST be downloaded via the app). Luckily, I still had enough time, and the lady at the entrance helped me out. It's not the first time I've bought online tickets—it's never been this complicated.

I especially liked that the audience was involved. The actors and actresses were perfect; you really felt like you were in the Middle Ages. I would gladly do it again!

The visit to the Dungeon was enjoyable as it gave an entertaining glimpse into Hamburg's history. The staff did a nice job trying to entertain the visitors. Some of the "scary" gimmicks were amusing but overall it's something I wouldn't redo as it isn't a standout attraction. Perhaps, it is just overshadowed by the Wunderland in the same building.

What to expect

Dark history, live shows & thrilling rides

Move through atmospheric sets as stories of plague, piracy, executions, and other dark episodes unfold around you. Descend into the Dungeon aboard the Elevator of Doom, encounter Hamburg during the Plague, and see if you can save pirate Klaus Störtebeker from execution.
