the shuttle bus system is almost compulsory to go on the vesuvius. but the experience is great. we'd just like the tour to be longer 1h30 on the vesuvius is a pain, especially if you want to take advantage of the guide's explanations.

The experience was very chaotic. The people in charge weren't very smiley or welcoming. After climbing Mount Vesuvius, we had few instructions on what to do next. There were bus problems and we were very hot in the crowded bus. In the end, I think we paid a lot for the experience.
