Transportation was prompt-the ride up and down the mountain was harrowing but that's due to the roads. The "4" is because there wasn't a guide and there wasn't enough time for a guide anyway. You had 25 minutes to get up the mountain, 20 minutes at the peak, and 25 minutes to get back down and you got back on the bus.

No guide or audioguide provided. Time on site could have been longer, so we had to hurry in order to complete the tour.

The meeting and transportation went well. We were not offered an audio guide. When we arrived at the parking lot, there was no skib-the-line. We had to queue as normal. And the guided tour with a volcanologist is part of the entrance ticket anyway. We would have had to wait 20 minutes for the tour. So the included services are also a bit of a sham. But Vesuvius was an impressive experience.

the shuttle bus system is almost compulsory to go on the vesuvius. but the experience is great. we'd just like the tour to be longer 1h30 on the vesuvius is a pain, especially if you want to take advantage of the guide's explanations.Preite
