A visit to the monastery is definitely a highlight. Every visitor to Lisbon should have it on their itinerary. The waiting time was manageable, in any case the afternoon is the best time to visit. Public transport connections are great. What was not so good was the consistency of the audio guide with the tour. The description was very detailed but not everything was accessible.

The monastery is beautiful, and I am so glad to have seen it. The frustrating part was that we arrived about 15 mins before opening (our tickets were for 9:30 a.m.), and there was already a long line. It seems as if staff prioritized large tour groups and only let others in a trickle at a time. We didn't wnter the monastery until 10:20, so our timing for the rest of the day was off. Still it was a great experience.

very nice but the management of the entrance is to forget: 2 hours to access the cloister with a stay of about half an hour, exit and another queue to access the church, which by the way was closed for 3 hours so I had to return and make another queue, absurd, should be managed in a single entrance thank you

Beautiful structure, However the official tickets promised an audio guide and none was provided, which is misleading. I was looking forward to learning a bit of history, which did not happen.

A wait of over 1h30, far too long due to the absence of any possibility of reserving a precise time slot when booking and purchasing tickets, which spoils the pleasure of the visit. The argument that a Catholic site should be accessible to all at all hours does not stand up to the tiredness of waiting, which makes the visitor forget the sacred nature of the site, exhausted by 1.30 hours in the sun and heat. An hourly reservation would make the visit more comfortable for visitors, and give them more time to perceive the spiritual dimension of the site. JF Hédiard
