it was a great experience to view the Jeronimos Monastery's exterior and interior architectural design However, the audio guide direction and the signage after the refectory room was confused and it led me to the way of the exist instead of continuing to the west chapel which Vasco de Gama' tomb was located. Asked the security guard, cannot understand English and told me to go out to the exit......

Visited Jerónimos Monastery in August — absolutely stunning architecture and rich history, definitely worth seeing. Be prepared for a long wait under the sun, as the lines can get quite intense in peak season. The actual visit is relatively short, but the beauty of the cloisters and the intricate details make it worthwhile. Go early if you can!

The architecture of the building is really impressive. Although there were a lot of tourists, you didn't get the feeling that it was overcrowded and you could enjoy the atmosphere.

Quite a long wait and no toilets (out of order...). Apart from that, a superb visit!
