A visit to the monastery is definitely a highlight. Every visitor to Lisbon should have it on their itinerary. The waiting time was manageable, in any case the afternoon is the best time to visit. Public transport connections are great. What was not so good was the consistency of the audio guide with the tour. The description was very detailed but not everything was accessible.Doris

Overall, the information provided was helpful, and the suggestions from other visitors were valuable. We arrived early to ensure we were among the first to visit. The Audio guide was easy to use. However, some areas were closed, and it seems that access to the Monastery may vary over time. The church side did not open until 10:30 AM, which we were unaware of. We took our time exploring the first half, but by the time we exited, a long line had already formed for the church visit. Seeing the queue, we decided to forgo the visit. It would have been helpful if the audio guide had included a note about the opening time.Shannon

The monastery was great but the organisation wasn't amazing. Lining up for the cloisters then the church wasn't ideal. Only one person letting people through one at a time meant the line was long and in full sun on a hot day. Having session times might work better. Also a few of the rooms on the audio guide weren't accessible. The audio guide was quite good though.Manuel

They should have schedules to visit the monastery. The entrance line was huge and we lost a lot of time and there was never an audio guide. They owe me 6 euros
