Really liked the view from the castle! Beautiful!!! Seeing the live peacocks roaming around was a pleasant surprise. Liked that you could walk the grounds of the castle and also climb up to lookout points to take more photos at an even higher level. Also liked that I had an option to see only the outside of the castle. To see inside there was a different rate which is totally understandable. Didn't have the time to do inside and out. Will definitely do this the next time I'm back!! Highly recommend.

Wonderful Walking Tour of São Jorge Castle! I had such a great experience on this tour of São Jorge Castle. Our guide was incredibly friendly and welcoming, and she made the history of the castle and Lisbon come alive with her stories and insights. She was very knowledgeable, answering all our questions with enthusiasm and detail. The pace was perfect, and we had plenty of time to enjoy the views and take photos. I learned so much and left with a deeper appreciation of Lisbon’s rich past. Highly recommended to anyone visiting the city!

Sao Jorge Castle is a beautiful spot high above the city of Lisbon. You can climb the ancient crenellated walls, which frame 360 degrees of wide and lovely views. To reach the entrance at the top, you need to be in very good physical condition. Nothing exceptional except for the view. Not a castle but rather ruins. The visit was too quick. The museum only has pieces of pottery on display. The archaeological center = 0 You can't see anything and there's no access. The peacocks roaming free are magnificent. But it's not worth €22...
