We visited Quinta da Regaleira, one of the famed palaces in Sintra, Portugal. The gardens surrounding the palace are magnificent, a labyrinth of paths that lead to the properties numerous attractions. The architecture embodies several classical styles. The most prominent being gothic with numerous turrets and gargoyles. The initiation well was the highlight of the tour - an 27 meter deep inverted tower with historical ties to the Freemasons and the Knights Templar. The signage at the facility should be better marked for guests, it may be a good idea to review property maps online. Certainly worth the visit!

Very well organized for entry, we had a scheduled time and showed up early, as much as we thought we'd wait with the long line, we did not!!! The grounds are beautiful everything we visited was breathtaking. I wasn't expecting so much beauty in one place. You can easily spend 5 hours. My only complaint was that if you don't get a self-guided tour, there's no clear indication on how to visit the grounds and it's difficult to follow a direction.

It's a magnificent site. We appreciated the French option. However, the route instructions were not always easy to follow. I had bought two tickets. So I shared the audio link by text message with my wife. Halfway through the tour, we took a break, and after that it was impossible for her to pick up the link again. So she finished the tour without a description.

Quintera was beautiful but difficulty with audio guide. I could play but it would not play for my husband and we have same model phones. We checked all the settings but could not get it to play. The cafeteria is at beginning of venue and you can't get to it until your tour time. Also at end of tour you can't get back to the cafeteria unless you go back though the house. The outside grounds are expensive and signage is confusing. Crowds are large and you can spend several hours.

The tickets without any problem. The download of the audioguide with great difficulty and after several attempts and despite getting to download any of the 3 contracted, they were lost and with new attempts were invalidated. Total without audioguide having paid. Better to buy it at the same entrance.
