It's a must to book your ticket on line. We jumped the queue and walked right in. And believe me the queue was very long. The Regaleira was amazing! Definitely a worthy trip.

The grounds were incredible, easily could spend more than half a day touring the area. Having the self guide audio tour was a bonus so we can do what we wanted and listen as we were heading to different areas.

The Pena Palace is very nice! Although if you don't like small spaces... it might not be the best place to go. There are a lot of people and when a large group arrives it's a bit overwhelming, but the views are amazing. Very important the transportation to the entrance of the enclosure... going up through the path is a bit hard, not recommended if you don't have experience hiking. About Quinta da Regaleira... well, it's like a very big park with several monuments/sculptures spread around it.

The castles are really beautiful, and it's well worth visiting the interior, with its breathtaking views! The only drawback is that you can't get to Peña Castle by car. Allow 45 minutes by bus, otherwise Tuktuk or Uber are at your disposal!

The visit was overwhelming due to an excess of visitors, they should reduce the number of tickets sold per visit. The management of the displacement between palaces is unclear, should be clearly informed of the possibilities to get from one palace to another. The cab drivers at the exit of the Pena Palace refused to pick us up with my two children saying TOURIST NO. The experience in general I will not recommend it to anyone.
