Walking Tours in Naples

I have enough time to visit Mount Vesuvius & Herculaneum. Each activities have around 2 to 3 hours to visit, it completes at 3 p.m. something. No lunch breaks, so better to bring your own food or snacks. No need to worry about transportation when you travel. I do not join to visit Pompeii in the day trip, so the driver picks up us after visiting the Herculaneum and we go back to the city of Naples. It is better to advise us before visit so that I know that I will be travelled by another car.

So helpful to have transport between the sites. It was a little chaotically organised but it worked. Disappointingly there was no time for lunch or coffee breaks, or to visit gift shop at Pompei. I would recommend taking lunch and drinks with you. The tour guide provided at Pompei was incredibly knowledgeable and friendly. The pompei tour was a little rushed and I didn't feel I had time to look round the museum part properly. The guided tour only does a very small part of the site. Be prepared for a lot of walking on rough ground. If I were to do the tour again, I would miss off Herculaneum. The three site visit was too much for one day.

It was an amazing experience, our archaeologist guide Vincenzo managed to take us back a few thousand years ago...! Highly recommended!

Overall, an excellent tour led by our archaeologist . He was very knowledgeable and answered all our questions. I would definitely do this tour again - 5 stars. The crows in April are very manageable compared to peak season and the weather was very agreeable. The instructions given to us to meet our guide were accurate and he was on time. Very happy with how everything worked out.

A truly fascinating and engaging guided tour; our guide, Walter, was incredibly friendly and thorough in explaining the history of the palace and the people who lived and worked there, including some entertaining anecdotes. It was a wonderful experience—we’ll definitely be back.

The Royal Palace of Caserta is wonderful! Walter, our knowledgeable and friendly guide, showed us around the palace: the Royal Staircase, the chapel, and the theater. We were allowed to see these areas "in exchange" for a visit to the gardens, which (unfortunately) were closed due to bad weather and strong winds—trees had even fallen over. Too bad, but it’s definitely worth another visit!!! Thanks, Walter

Everything was very well organized! The tour guide was excellent—she was great with the kids and answered all our questions perfectly. It was a truly wonderful day. I would 100% recommend it!

Greeted at the meeting point by the very happy, cheerful Daniele. He was exceptionally organised and clear with his instructions. We were taken through by our guide, Michele (Michael), he was incredibly knowledgeable, connected with the group, and entertaining. The walk was quite challenging and exhausting, navigating some difficult terrain at times over 3 hours. It’s definitely not a tour for people with mobility issues. However, it was fascinating to explore the site and learning so much history from Michele. I nearly chose to do this tour independently, but following advice from a close friend, I’m glad I chose this option. This is the second tour I’ve booked with Headout and both times I have been nothing less than impressed. I highly recommend using Headout for booking this tour. Exceptional!!
