We rode the Eurostar from London to Paris. Bought the Global 10 day pass first, and now all the train journeys are so cheap to secure seats. Paris is amazing in Autumn and if this is off peak, then I couldn't cope with more people. Such a busy city. Off to Switzerland tomorrow on another train adventure.

The information on how to get to the meeting point was very well explained. The guide was friendly, nice, and very informative. We got through passport control in 5 minutes and had a quick photo stop at the Vatican Museum. Headphones are highly recommended.

First of all, it was a huge relief to be able to skip the line to the museum by going with the guide. This made entering the Vatican very easy. After that, it was nice to explore the museum on our own. All in all, it was a good experience.

Unfortunately my trip came to an end, fortunately though, the last part of my trip towards the airfield was very relaxed. Not crowded, or in any case, didn't feel like it might have been. Because people were helpfull, friendly and the signs directed us passengers, perfectly to the right train at the right time. As a matter of fact, it went so well, that because I was early, I could even change my trainride to an earlier and yet more convenient time, which saved me 30 minutes, which mad the flight and checkin at the airport also much more pleasant. Seats were great, long legs no problem. Room enough for suitcases and the rails were almost quiet.

I used the pass to travel from Norrköping in Sweden to Haywards Heath in England over two days. My first train was 2.5 hours late arriving at my start point. This meant all my reservations were not used and I couldn't find a way to re-book reservations, except on Eurostar for 15 Euros a time. The ICE trains in Germany were good but the train from Köeln to Bruxelles was cancelled. I was concerned I might get stranded in Köeln. I arrived in Haywards Heath 5 hours later than planned. On reflection the travel was easy and accepting delays when five train journeys are joined together has to be a part of the experience. In the future a system for booking new reservations when travel is disrupted would be a real improvement and give peace of mind.
