Tips for arriving at Rome Airport

  1. Follow airport signs to the Arrivals Hall: Your transfer provider will usually meet you at a designated meeting point or desk. Check your voucher for the exact location.
  2. Add a time buffer for luggage and immigration: At Fiumicino, allow yourself 20 to 40 minutes after landing before scheduling your pickup. You can stretch your buffer time up to an hour during peak hours.
  3. Withdraw local currency if needed: ATMs are typically in the Arrivals area, though major cards are also widely accepted around the airport and in the city.
  4. Purchase a local SIM card: Counters in the Arrivals area provide tourist-friendly SIMs so you stay connected with your driver for updates and navigation.
  5. Connect to airport Wi-Fi: Most airports in Rome offer free Wi-Fi, enabling you to coordinate with your driver or check meeting point instructions easily.
  6. Know your local transport alternatives: If your pre-booked transfer is delayed or you have to make a switch at the last minute, taxis, rideshares, or airport trains can work as good backups. However, check average fares and frequency beforehand.
  7. Check terminal details before landing: Large airports may have multiple terminals. So confirm your arrival terminal and pick-up spot to avoid confusion.
  8. Keep your phone accessible: Ensure your data/roaming is active as your driver might call or message for coordination.

the skip the line tickets helped us get in in about 15-20 minutes, including the security check, which made everything a pleasant experience. the whole tour we did, a little rushed, took about 2.5 hours. we initially wanted to stay longer in certain museums and skip others, but we didn't know that to get to the Sistine Chapel for example, you have to go through all the museums, because you enter from one to the other, but somehow at the end of the day this was a good thing, because we saw (I think) everything. inside it wasn't overly crowded, except for the moments when we suddenly met 2-3 groups. we ate at the museum restaurant and the food was good and at an ok price. it was a superb museum and made our day wonderful

Buying tickets through Hedout is your best bet. The lines to get into the museum are huge, and it’s all very chaotic. It’s important to arrive 20 minutes before your scheduled time. If you’re visiting with family, plan to arrive 30 minutes early.

Unfortunately my trip came to an end, fortunately though, the last part of my trip towards the airfield was very relaxed. Not crowded, or in any case, didn't feel like it might have been. Because people were helpfull, friendly and the signs directed us passengers, perfectly to the right train at the right time. As a matter of fact, it went so well, that because I was early, I could even change my trainride to an earlier and yet more convenient time, which saved me 30 minutes, which mad the flight and checkin at the airport also much more pleasant. Seats were great, long legs no problem. Room enough for suitcases and the rails were almost quiet.

I can not believe how straight forward the process of booking is. It took less than 5 minutes. The coach stop is well signposted and the staff are helpful and organised. I would not bother with the train. I'm going back to Rome in October and I will be using Terravision again

Everything went well. I was worried I wouldn't find the bus... There's construction going on around the airport, but I followed the signs and, after walking about 5–7 minutes to the right from Terminal 1, I reached the bus station. The electronic displays show which bus company's buses depart from which stop and when. I got in line, and the bus arrived right on schedule. Everything went quickly—I scanned my ticket, got on the bus, and 45 minutes later we were in Rome at Termini Station.
