The experience was a success—it’s definitely worth doing!!! The cathedral is stunning both inside and out, and you shouldn’t miss seeing it at night!! As for the tickets to enter the Cathedral—including access to the terraces, the interior, the Cathedral Museum, the crypt, and the Archaeological Museum—we didn’t have any issues. It’s worth noting, and this might be helpful to others, that the tour isn’t led by a live guide (it’s an audio guide using our own headphones); there were no problems downloading it, and the information is excellent. In my opinion, the narration doesn’t always sync up with what we’re seeing as we walk through, but since the information is repeated several times, we were able to follow along just fine.

Incredible, fascinating, moving, and overwhelming. There are no words to describe what you feel when you’re inside the cathedral—what those magnificent scholars and artists were able to create and achieve hundreds of years ago. I highly recommend it.

Having the tickets in advance was advantageous as the queues for tickets were long however there was a lack of guidance as to where to redeem tickets and how to enter the cathedral. Also it would have been helpful to know that shoulders needed to be covered.

The details of the Duomo were presented in a structured, theme-based format, allowing us to understand the various stages of construction and the different trades and skills involved.
