Jim Quinn was very good at being our tour guide. It was good to hear a local person describing what 9-11 felt like. But your company did a horrible job directing us to the wrong meet-up location. Even though the tickets said to meet at the Ocullus, the email we received the day before the tour stated the meet-up location was St. Paul Chapel. Since the email was the last info sent, we went to the Chapel. When no one from your company showed up, we went to the Ocullus, barely making it there in time for the tour. You need to do a better job with communication. Just know that Jim Quinn was a 5-star tour guide but your company deserves a 1-star.

Jose was an excellent giide who shared with us many stories of pre 9/11 and beyond. He's VERY knowledgeable about the history before ( decades) and after. We were actually surprised to learn so much even about the architecture. He brought to our attention what you DON'T hear standing at the pools and significance of the WHY. The museum's significance stands on its own. We totally appreciated our almost 5 hour visit. For full appreciation, I would recommend high school age up. Just tried to upload some great photos - rejected- sorry...

Although it was a cloudy, raining afternoon, there were large crowds gathered in front of the memorials as well as the museum. The artifacts and information videos brought chills down my spine. People were emotional and had tears that brought the experience to another level. This is definitely a must see if you go to NY. Remembering that day and the world's reaction only enhanced how tragic this event was in 2001! A definite must see!

An absolute must-see when in New York. It’s not only a testament to a piece of history that so many of us witnessed — even if only on the news — but what moved me most was the love that resonated throughout the memorial: the last phone calls and words from the victims, the sense of community, and the incredible strength of all the people who supported one another through their grief.

Very powerful exhibits that made you feel the impact.
  • Journey Through Resilience & Remembrance

Your day at the 9/11 Memorial & Museum begins amidst the twin reflecting pools, a vast expanse of tranquility accentuated by North America's largest manmade waterfalls. Here, the heartstrings tug a little harder, as the names inscribed into bronze panels of everyone who perished in the attacks whisper tales of what once was. Witness the white oak trees, each distinctive in its growth pattern, resonate with the individuality of the lost souls. Amidst them, stands the Survivor Tree, a Callery Pear tree. Its revival from the ashes of devastation and the juxtaposition of its gnarled stump with smooth new limbs symbolize the undying spirit of hope and endurance.

Inside Chronicles of Time & Tragedy

As you transition indoors, over 11,000 artifacts await, chronicling the fateful day and its aftermath. The Historical Exhibition paints the timeline, from the day before 9/11 to the aftermath, also shedding light on tales from the Pentagon and Flight 93. Continuing forward, faces and stories come alive in "In Memoriam," putting a human touch to the numbers and statistics of the tragedy. The enormity of the event is captured in the Foundation Hall, with the imposing last column and slurry wall.
