This is one of the most entertaining and engaging plays on Broadway in recent times. Set in the titular city during the glorious days of jazz, Chicago revolves around two rival murderesses locked up in Cook County Jail. One of them, a nightclub star is serving time for killing her husband and sister who she finds out were sexually involved. The other woman had killed her lover she had been cheating on her husband with.
What happens when Velma enlists the help of the prison matron a slick lawyer to turn her incarceration into a murder-of-the-week media frenzy, thereby creating the stage for her comeback! But Roxie turns out to have some moves of her own…!
