I had a great experience watching Hamilton at the Victoria Palace Theatre. The atmosphere was lively and focused, with a clear sense of anticipation from the audience. The performance stood out mainly for its vocals rather than dance, with impressive rapping and strong pop-style singing that carried the story forward. The cast delivered the material with clarity, rhythm, and emotional control, making the complex lyrics easy to follow and engaging throughout. What worked best for me was how seamlessly the music and storytelling blended, keeping the pace dynamic without feeling overwhelming. The staging and lighting supported the performances well without distracting from them. Overall, it was a compelling and modern take on musical theatre that felt polished and thoughtfully executed.

Hamilton last night at the Palace Victoria Theatre was a once in a lifetime experience! Myself and two teenaged children from Australia, have had our tickets booked for months and have been very excited! Booking was very easy and we received a reminder yesterday with ticket links working perfectly and all running smoothly! The theatre is very cozy with its dim lighting and gorgeous architecture. King George! An absolute highlight for us! All performers were amazing! We were in awe of the whole production and were singing along to all our faves! Thank you for such a wonderful experience. We are already telling all our friends and family in the UK and back home! If we had more time in London we would definitely see the show again!

I am not the biggest fan of musicals with that are 'sung' all the way through so I was a little hesitant about seeing Hamilton live, BUT there was nothing to worry about, IT WAS AMAZING and I LOVED every moment. It's innovative, fresh, contemporary and culturally relevant. Lin Manuel has created something truly inspiring. It was so refreshing to see such diversity in the cast, score and music styles. I hope we continue to see more shows like this in the West End.

    The story

Set in late 18th-century America, Hamilton follows Alexander Hamilton, an ambitious immigrant from the West Indies who rises to power as George Washington’s right-hand man. Through battles, political rivalries, and personal struggles, the musical charts his journey from obscurity to shaping a nation. Alongside figures like Aaron Burr, Thomas Jefferson, and Eliza Schuyler, Hamilton’s legacy is forged in revolution and tested by betrayal. But how far will ambition carry him before it all comes crashing down?

Seeing Hamilton was an experience that can only be described as electrifying. From the first note the energy in the theater was palpable. While the show is a global phenomenon, this particular performance felt incredibly personal because I shared it with my daughter. As a dancer, singer, and musical theater student herself, her appreciation for the technical demands of the show made the evening truly special. The caliber of talent on that stage was staggering. Every lead delivered a performance that felt both historically grounded and vibrantly contemporary. The vocal precision required for this score is immense, but the cast made it look effortless. The energy reached its peak whenever the ensemble took the stage. Their choral power and synchronized movement raised the energy of the entire theater. There is an intensity in those ensemble numbers that is hard to put into words—a wall of sound and motion that leaves you breathless. As we watched, my daughter and I were fascinated by how the "beautiful dances" integrated seamlessly into the storytelling. We were particularly struck by the excellent choreography. The dances are beautiful, intricate, and purposeful. Every movement tells a story -- the way the ensemble pivots, the fluid transitions, and the constant motion capture the relentless "hurry" of Alexander Hamilton’s life. It is a masterclass in how modern movement can elevate traditional musical theater. Hamilton is more than just a musical -- it is a powerful reminder of the beauty of live performance. Watching my daughter be inspired by such high-level artistry made an already special night absolutely perfect: it wasn't just a night at the theater, it was a powerful reminder of why we love the arts.

This was my 2nd time seeing Hamilton at Victoria Palace Theater, and it was just as exciting as the first time. All of the actors were incredible and our seats were great because we could see everything on stage. We pre-ordered drinks and snacks for intermission so we didn't have to wait in line. Everything was super easy and efficient.

This was phenomenal! The seat was quite nice, even though it was marked as tight legroom, I felt like I had enough space. The old theater environment elevated the atmosphere and made it feel very fancy. The set and performance was spectacular. I am so glad I saw this production!
