The STRAAT Museum exceeded any expectation for our experience, we can't stop telling people about the venue, and especially the artists. The ferry ride was painless from mainland and was fairly easy to navigate. Once there, it was a two minute walk to the front door. We didn't know the largest flea market in Europe was happening next door and made the adventure a wee bit crowded. Inside the STRAAT, I was immediately taken back to my youth working in a steel plant in the states, the 100-ft ceilings, overhead cranes, skylights spoke heavy industry and matched the artist's work, some being larger than life. Their messages were both in-your-face blunt, sublime to subliminal. The experience was both moving and inspiring, thank you for providing a venue and gathering the street artists to showcase incredible talents.

An impressive museum, both for the size of the works on display and their quality. It's truly one of my favorites. This time, there was a focus on women in street art and many works featuring geometric motifs.

STRAAT Museum

STRAAT Museum, located in a former shipyard in Amsterdam, is dedicated to urban contemporary art and graffiti. The museum features over 180 large-scale artworks created on-site by more than 170 international and Dutch artists, reflecting the diversity and evolution of street art.

What’s not allowed

You are not allowed to touch any of the artworks.

Umbrellas, suitcases, backpacks, pointed or edged objects, spray cans, markers, large objects, and outside food and drink are not allowed inside the exhibition room.

Flash photography and the use of tripods and selfie sticks are strictly prohibited at the venue.

Smoking and vaping are not allowed inside the museum.

Due to venue restrictions, pets cannot tag along on this experience.

Note that the main exhibition hall is not heated and can be very cold in the winter. Dress comfortably in layers.
