Fantastic experience at the King's Gallery yesterday. From the entry staff to the cafe workers and all the art in between, this was a superb visit. The exhibition itself was incredible and the sense of time you get from viewing drawings from 600 years ago is outstanding. I was certainly inspired to try and improve my beginner level drawing.

The tour is very well organized, with a digital guide on a smartphone that you are given at the entrance, which has a very intuitive interface. The palace is magnificent and definitely worth a visit. It is not huge, so it is easy to find time to see it even on a short stay in Edinburgh.

My daughter and I loved our Hop on Hop off bys tour in Edinburgh so much that we booked a 48 hour tour for the last 2 days of our holiday. I booked our first bus trip for orientating ourselves in Edinburgh as aoon as we got off our train. We found it So useful to map out in our heads exactly how far apart iconic landmarks were and also a rough idea of close it woukd be to walk between linked areas. It also guaranteed us seeing the principle 'must sees' and enabled us to prioritise getting directly to places we wanted to visit in more detail thus maximising our precious time on our visit. We loved your drivers; so friendly helpful and knowledgeable, we felt really welconed and it was an integral part of our ecperience. We used the complimentary headphones to listen to the historical background and stories of the city's background. We loved the scottish music playing which added to the fun and spirit of being in Edinburgh. We decided to lisren with just one ear phone in so that we could speak to each other and comment on things to look out for or chat about what we had learned. Being able to ride for 24 hours was a real help as there is just so much to see and take in, and listening to the commentary at least twice helped us to remember it better. The 2nd tour i booked was the Royal Edinburgh 48hr tour where we experienced the wonderful city guide Colin. He was amazing! The difference if having a live commentary was simply fabulous and we hear and learned even more about this wonderful city. We didnt get to see everything we wanted to see and will definitely be returning to spend more time in the galleries. We will be definitely be buying another tour bus trip because it makes travelling direct to places of interest much easier than wondering which bus goes to where we wanted to be. I would highly recommend any of the Edinburgh tour buses without hesitation.

This was a wonderful day out, the rockhopper penguins were sat right in front of us the whole time and a lovely volunteer had a super interesting chat with us while a group of three king penguins waddled over to wave at us. We were really happy to see all the animals had lots of room and many seemed to enjoy the attention and would approach us. Just a wonderful experience, highly recommend!
