The Hungarian-language audio guide was a pleasant surprise. It was interesting to follow in the footsteps of the royal family. I was surprised by the simplicity of the royal family’s cabins.

I grew up admiring Queen Elizabeth II. When she passed away, despite living in Rome, I flew to London to pay my respects and stood in line for hours alongside her subjects to say a final goodbye. For that reason, visiting the Royal Yacht Britannia was much more than a tourist attraction for me – it was an emotional journey into the history and legacy of a woman I have always deeply respected. Walking through the rooms where the Royal Family spent both official and private moments was truly moving. The audio guide is informative and engaging, bringing the ship’s fascinating history to life. Every area of the yacht is beautifully preserved, offering a unique glimpse into royal life while reflecting the elegance, dignity, and dedication that Queen Elizabeth embodied throughout her reign. Visiting the Britannia was one of the highlights of my trip to Edinburgh. It was a memorable and deeply meaningful experience that I would highly recommend to anyone interested in British history, the Royal Family, or simply looking for something truly special. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

The royal yacht was beautifully kept and presented to the public. It felt quite magical being guided around by the excellent hand held devices which worked perfectly. It was so interesting learning about the yacht and hearing the lovely stories of life on the yacht. The fudge shop was a fun surprise and we enjoyed our tea and scones in the restaurant. One waitress treated us like royalty with a genuine interest in our experience. She graciously played her part of service to the visitors which complimented our magical experience.

Very interesting tour of the Royal Yacht Brittania. As the British Empire was eclipsed the Royal Family made a victory lap of the globe numerous times showing the rising powers; Americans, oil rich states and Russians real class, haute cuisine, and how to lead by example rather than force. Lots of technical and artsy items; something for everyone. It's a long tour two hours if you listen to all 27 stations. Refresh yourself in the deluxe restaurant afterwards. This is a great bargain for £25. Five Stars from the Lone Star State.

Visiting the Royal Yacht Britannia allowed me to renew my aquaintance with Royal Accommodation having been responsible in the 1970's for lifts and escalators in Windsor Castle and Royal Ascot Racecourse. The quality of the Britannia tour is of the highest order and really highlighted the way the Royal family successfully mixed a humble and simple living style with the splendour of regal events on board the yacht. The service of all the staff ashore and on the yacht was fantastic. All in all a wonderful experience.

It was such a great experience to visit the Royal Yacht Britannia! The tour was amazing and well organized worth the time spent touring the yacht! The yacht is in great condition considering how long it has not been in use. I felt like I walked back in history and got an insight how the queen and her family lived together cruising around the world on holiday while conducting business. Interesting how much effort it takes for crew members to operate the yacht!
