I grew up admiring Queen Elizabeth II. When she passed away, despite living in Rome, I flew to London to pay my respects and stood in line for hours alongside her subjects to say a final goodbye. For that reason, visiting the Royal Yacht Britannia was much more than a tourist attraction for me – it was an emotional journey into the history and legacy of a woman I have always deeply respected. Walking through the rooms where the Royal Family spent both official and private moments was truly moving. The audio guide is informative and engaging, bringing the ship’s fascinating history to life. Every area of the yacht is beautifully preserved, offering a unique glimpse into royal life while reflecting the elegance, dignity, and dedication that Queen Elizabeth embodied throughout her reign. Visiting the Britannia was one of the highlights of my trip to Edinburgh. It was a memorable and deeply meaningful experience that I would highly recommend to anyone interested in British history, the Royal Family, or simply looking for something truly special. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Absorbing the atmosphere aboard HMY Britannia was incredible. The tour offered a fascinating insight into what life must have been like when the yacht was still in active service. It was a very enjoyable experience, supported by an excellent audio guide (available in multiple languages) that was engaging from start to finish. We also loved the sandwich and scone in the tea room — delicious, with outstanding service.

Fantastic experience- really well done. Easy and free parking in the shopping center multi-storey car park near by. Good sign posting and instructions. Informative , interesting and the audio guide is great as it keeps the experience quiet and done at an individuals pace. The tea room was a nice added and the food and coffee was lovely. Enjoyed the outing very much. Took about 2.5 hours with coffee stop.

I love the personal pictures that were throughout the yacht. Showing the royal family on the yacht and at special moments in their history. I love the decorations, including the fresh flowers, which is what the queen like to have. The yacht anchors the port area and it shows. All the new development is tasteful and the area seems like an upscale nice neighborhood. Everyone on the ship was friendly.

    Features:

    • Royal Apartments and State Dining Room: Rooms are arranged neatly and feel practical, showing how formal spaces were adapted for life onboard.

    • Crew Quarters and Engine Room: These areas add contrast, showing the working side of the yacht and how everything functioned behind the scenes.

    • Multilingual audio guide: As you move through each section, the audio guide explains how different spaces were used during royal voyages.
