The ticket experience was incredibly smooth and convenient. The office is just a quick five-minute walk from the Colosseum, and the staff explained everything clearly and had our tickets ready right away. No stress, no waiting — just an easy, hassle-free start to the day. The Colosseum itself was breathtaking. Standing inside feels like stepping into another era, with its massive arches and ancient stone radiating the energy of battles, crowds, and history that never really left. The Roman Forum was equally powerful — a haunting maze of broken columns and ruins that still feel alive, as if the echoes of the empire are hiding in every corner. Overall, the team set the tone perfectly, and the sites delivered an unforgettable, dramatic experience from start to finish.

This is such a must-see in Rome - even if you aren't that interested in art. The building, ceilings and frescoes are just beautiful. Definitely book a ticket in advance, when we arrived there was a sign out that said they were sold out for the day. You get 2 hours which is just enough, usually we spend a whole day in a gallery but this is on the smaller side. There is a free cloakroom for bags (except for small handbags). The toilets are quite small, and there isn't a lot of seating inside the gallery, probably because they don't want people overstaying their time slot. The Caravaggios are truly some of the best art I have ever seen and well worth seeing.

It was heavy raining on our way to Pantheon and we came through wet , but when when we entered inside and heard" the voices from the sky " of the chorus of the girls singing choral, we forgot about everything bad in this everyday life and were together with these angels from the heaven! It was our great bonus to this visit and made the atmosphere unreal. Thank you for this experience! It's unforgettable

Visiting the Roman Colosseum is an unforgettable experience that transcends tourism and becomes a dialogue with history. From the moment you approach its monumental arches, the scale and ambition of ancient Rome feel immediate and humbling. Walking through the corridors, one can almost hear the echoes of crowds and imagine the spectacles that once defined an empire. What makes the visit exceptional is the balance between preservation and interpretation. Clear signage, thoughtful exhibitions, and access to the arena and underground areas provide context without overwhelming the monument itself. Each level offers a different perspective, revealing ingenious engineering, sophisticated crowd management, and the social complexity behind the games. The Colosseum’s setting enhances its impact. Bathed in Roman light and framed by the Forum and Palatine Hill, it invites reflection on power, culture, and endurance. Despite its age, the structure feels alive, a testament to human creativity and resilience. A visit to the Colosseum is not merely a checklist item; it is an emotional and intellectual journey. It leaves visitors with a profound respect for the past and a renewed appreciation for the legacy that continues to shape the modern world. Careful planning and guides further elevate the experience for first-time visitors.

The experience was very uneven due to the stark difference between the two teams involved. The first team responsible for the Pantheon entry was extremely disorganized. They arrived late and caused a delay of approximately 15 to 20 minutes, leaving all visitors waiting outside without clear instructions or any effective problem-solving. Because of this delay, we were forced to rush through the Pantheon, as we had a scheduled Colosseum visit immediately afterward, which was part of the same combo booking. The situation at the Pantheon entrance was chaotic. We had to run to the door, and the staff member even needed to ask the police officer stationed there to allow us in, clearly showing a lack of coordination and preparedness. If my rating were based solely on this first team, I would give only one star. In contrast, the second team handling the Colosseum entry was outstanding. The staff member Sarah welcomed us with exceptional kindness, punctuality, and professionalism. She provided all the necessary information clearly and efficiently, making the entire Colosseum experience smooth and stress-free. This second team deserves five stars. Summary: • Pantheon team: ⭐☆☆☆☆ (1 star) — disorganized, late, and inefficient • Colosseum team (Sarah): ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ (5 stars) — excellent service and professionalism I ultimately gave three stars overall solely because the Colosseum team truly saved the experience.

  • This budget-friendly combo lets you leisurely explore two of Rome’s iconic landmarks—Castel Sant’Angelo with timed entry, and the Pantheon with an audio guide.

    Getting started

At Castel Sant’Angelo, begin your visit at the main entrance on Lungotevere Castello 50. Show your ticket at the main ticket office, then head inside to start exploring. At the Pantheon, arrive at Piazza della Rotonda to redeem your tickets.

    What to expect

    Castel Sant'Angelo

Step into the museum to climb the spiral ramps and enter the Chamber of Ashes where once cremated remains of Roman emperors rested. As you enter the papal rooms, admire the frescoes of Emperor Hadrian and Archangel Michael adorning the ceilings. Descending from the upper levels into the lower interiors, you can access the prisons that held famous figures like Benvenuto Cellini.

    Features

One of the significant features of the museum are the two statues of Archangel Michael, the original marble piece placed in Cortile dell’Angelo, and a bronze statue placed on the terrace. You can enjoy a panoramic view of Rome and the Tiber river from the terrace too.

    Pantheon

The facade of the Pantheon is a Corinthian portico, a classic example of ancient Roman architecture, featuring 16 towering granite columns that lead into the vast rotunda beyond. Enter the rotunda to admire the largest unreinforced dome in the world—a symbol of heaven with an oculus (a circular opening) letting light in.

    Features

The Pantheon, also known as Basilica di Santa Maria ad Martyres, was converted into a church in 608 AD. Since then it also hosts active religious service. Inside the rotunda, you can see the tombs of Italian icons like Raphael and King Vittorio Emanuele II, Italy’s first king. Above Raphael’s tomb is the statue of Madonna del Sasso. As you walk around, you can access the side chapels, including the Annunciation, marking the Pantheon’s Christian identity.
