Well, it was hard to get in touch with the guy—he didn’t show up wearing green. They require us to arrive 15 minutes early, but he showed up right at the scheduled entry time without identifying himself. The mausoleum is beautiful, and the audio guide worked great, though I felt a bit lost because it doesn’t specify where to stop and look—it just talks about everything at once. But it’s really beautiful; you have to see it. Buying the tickets was slow because some people have a harder time understanding the screen than others, but once you got your ticket, the line moved super fast. If you get this one, there wasn’t even a line. It’s worth noting that it was 10:30 in the morning.

Our vacation was completely ruined because you canceled our tour of the Colosseum just a few minutes before we were due to enter, and because you forced us to change the time of our tour of the Pantheon. We were unable to visit the monuments, and we did not receive any refund. Never again, and I will not recommend your website to anyone.

Headout's organization has been excellent; you just have to follow the instructions in the app. Also, I rented the audio guide for the Pantheon of Agrippa (Rome), and it tells the story in such a beautiful, moving way.

There were 2 guys handing out tickets. We have to scan a qr code to access the audio guide. BRING HEADPHONES, otherwise you will stay with your phone at your ear for 40min or more. It went rather smooth. The Pantheon is a must to visit.

It lets us book instantly and guarantees we won't have to wait in line when we enter; the views of the Vatican from the Tower of the Angel are breathtaking, and the interior of the castle is beautiful, with numerous intricate details.

Everything was perfectly organized beforehand. Booking, payment, and tickets could all be easily viewed and managed in the app. Even a last-minute time change was completely straightforward. Unfortunately, ticket distribution on-site was pure chaos. A very friendly and patient man transferred all the tickets from his phone to the customers’ phones, but this only worked with iPhones. Plus, he was constantly surrounded by impatient tourists, all holding out their phones to him. Because of this, some people received their tickets way too late. However, he personally escorted those people—along with those for whom the phone transfer hadn’t worked—into the Pantheon. All’s well that ends well.

The representative on site who was supposed to give us our tickets was hard to find. He had no distinguishing features in the crowd. He was unpleasant. We waited 25 minutes before receiving a photo of our tickets, which was rejected at the entrance, so we had to go back to the representative, wait again, and then finally receive the tickets. We had to get back in line. The tour was scheduled for a specific time, but there was no benefit to buying tickets in advance and paying extra for the "service."

  • This budget-friendly combo lets you leisurely explore two of Rome’s iconic landmarks—Castel Sant’Angelo with timed entry, and the Pantheon with an audio guide.

    Getting started

At Castel Sant’Angelo, begin your visit at the main entrance on Lungotevere Castello 50. Show your ticket at the main ticket office, then head inside to start exploring. At the Pantheon, arrive at Piazza della Rotonda to redeem your tickets.

    What to expect

    Castel Sant'Angelo

Step into the museum to climb the spiral ramps and enter the Chamber of Ashes where once cremated remains of Roman emperors rested. As you enter the papal rooms, admire the frescoes of Emperor Hadrian and Archangel Michael adorning the ceilings. Descending from the upper levels into the lower interiors, you can access the prisons that held famous figures like Benvenuto Cellini.

    Features

One of the significant features of the museum are the two statues of Archangel Michael, the original marble piece placed in Cortile dell’Angelo, and a bronze statue placed on the terrace. You can enjoy a panoramic view of Rome and the Tiber river from the terrace too.

    Pantheon

The facade of the Pantheon is a Corinthian portico, a classic example of ancient Roman architecture, featuring 16 towering granite columns that lead into the vast rotunda beyond. Enter the rotunda to admire the largest unreinforced dome in the world—a symbol of heaven with an oculus (a circular opening) letting light in.

    Features

The Pantheon, also known as Basilica di Santa Maria ad Martyres, was converted into a church in 608 AD. Since then it also hosts active religious service. Inside the rotunda, you can see the tombs of Italian icons like Raphael and King Vittorio Emanuele II, Italy’s first king. Above Raphael’s tomb is the statue of Madonna del Sasso. As you walk around, you can access the side chapels, including the Annunciation, marking the Pantheon’s Christian identity.
