There was so much more to The Pantheon than I realised, and the audioguide was excellent (which, this being our first stop, meant I was highly disappointed with the audioguides at The Colloseum and Villa Borghese). The highlight, however, is the architecture of the roof. Also, I understand how it becoming a church is how it has survived so long, but there was very little information about its pre-church status, which I am personally more interested in.

It was a great experience, it's the first time we used Headout and we loved it! The line to get in was very fast. It was well signposted and the staff member scanned our tickets directly from the Headout app... and that was it! We were inside the Pantheon in no time. You can't go to Rome and not see the Pantheon. If possible don't go in summer. For one it's too hot for another it's too crowded everywhere. Inside the Pantheon is breathtaking, the free downloadable audio was very interesting but a little too long for me, the natural voice rather than the uninteresting robotic voice of other audios I've experienced made all the difference. This is a must see.

A highly recommended experience for visiting the Pantheon in Rome. An extraordinary visit, very convenient entry without long wait getting the ticket ahead of time via headout. the audio guide very catering to both getting round the dome, as well interesting backstories to the construction of the place. For instance without the guide I would not have know how fascinating it is to have such a well preserved temple turned tomb that celerated Roman culture, to Christia workship, to the final resting place of Italy's first kings and the wonderful artist Raphael.
