We went to Piazza Navona to pick up our credentials to access the Pantheon guide, this turned out to be easy and pleasant, in the Pantheon we went ahead with the button and listened to the whole guide. Because Castel Sant'Angelo we also here took an electronic guidebook we listened to it with pleasure and we loved visiting the castle We both liked the Pantheon and the castle and it was a very very interesting visit ... the tombs inside the Pantheon while the frescoes in Castel Sant'Angelo contributed and made this a very beautiful day

The unforgettable beauty of the Pantheon, the mastery of the design of such an original building. The Castle of St. Angelo makes us perfectly aware of how successive generations build their history on old foundations and the changing turns of fate. Plus the magnificent views from the upper terraces. It is very convenient to enter both buildings without having to wait in line at the ticket office.

We loved touring the Pantheon! Photos don't do it justice! We happened to visit on a Sunday morning and were able to attend mass! They presented the crown of thorns during mass. What a memorable experience for our family to not only see the Pantheon but to also have that experience as part of our visit! Everyone should visit the Pantheon when in Rome!

The Pantheon is incomparable and an absolute must-see. If we come to Rome again, we will definitely visit it again. We felt cheated when we found out on site that our ticket for 14 EUR per person was a normal online ticket and according to the staff there are no fast track tickets at all. (Although this is written in black and white on our online booking!) There are 2 queues, one with an online ticket and one without and at 9:30 in the morning our queue with a ticket was significantly longer than the one without a ticket. There was no sign of a host who, according to the ticket description, was supposed to guide us past the queue. Conclusion: We would have received the same service for 5 euros per person (almost 2/3 less!) and would have saved ourselves 15 minutes in the queue.

Amazing place. Shame there was a problem with the tickets and then confusion over refund. 25% of what is spent credits off another tour is not good enough. Do better. Especially where the actual tour company had confirmed they would refund when I spoke to their very apologetic colleague who was great. Unfortunately we were not able to attend the following day. Luckily no queue so we simply bought tickets directly from the venue. Ended up paying twice but stunning building well worth it.

The Pantheon was amazing; however, the skip the line feature of the tickets was misleading. When we arrived at noon the line was to eternity! We left and had a nice lunch in Trastevere. We returned to the Pantheon around 3:30PM. Luckily, they allowed us to enter with our original "skip-the-line" tickets. Just beware of what you are actually purchasing. No complaint about the ticket price.

We bought the tickets on the web, we had clear what we wanted to see in the city of Rome. One of the emblematic buildings of Rome. We went to pick up the ticket at the agreed place and they gave us a map and headphones. We did not have to queue to get in. We had all the time in the world to visit the inside and take pictures.
  • This budget-friendly combo lets you leisurely explore two of Rome’s iconic landmarks—Castel Sant’Angelo with timed entry, and the Pantheon with an audio guide.

    Getting started

At Castel Sant’Angelo, begin your visit at the main entrance on Lungotevere Castello 50. Show your ticket at the main ticket office, then head inside to start exploring. At the Pantheon, arrive at Piazza della Rotonda to redeem your tickets.

    What to expect

    Castel Sant'Angelo

Step into the museum to climb the spiral ramps and enter the Chamber of Ashes where once cremated remains of Roman emperors rested. As you enter the papal rooms, admire the frescoes of Emperor Hadrian and Archangel Michael adorning the ceilings. Descending from the upper levels into the lower interiors, you can access the prisons that held famous figures like Benvenuto Cellini.

    Features

One of the significant features of the museum are the two statues of Archangel Michael, the original marble piece placed in Cortile dell’Angelo, and a bronze statue placed on the terrace. You can enjoy a panoramic view of Rome and the Tiber river from the terrace too.

    Pantheon

The facade of the Pantheon is a Corinthian portico, a classic example of ancient Roman architecture, featuring 16 towering granite columns that lead into the vast rotunda beyond. Enter the rotunda to admire the largest unreinforced dome in the world—a symbol of heaven with an oculus (a circular opening) letting light in.

    Features

The Pantheon, also known as Basilica di Santa Maria ad Martyres, was converted into a church in 608 AD. Since then it also hosts active religious service. Inside the rotunda, you can see the tombs of Italian icons like Raphael and King Vittorio Emanuele II, Italy’s first king. Above Raphael’s tomb is the statue of Madonna del Sasso. As you walk around, you can access the side chapels, including the Annunciation, marking the Pantheon’s Christian identity.
