Our guide, Karl, was enthusiastic and shared many wonderful details with us about the Cistene Chapel and other historical artworks. He delivered facts sprinkled with humor, included great details and was very open to questions. Karl gave us plenty of "what to expect" information, so we always felt comfortable in each space.

It was absolutaley a good decision to get tickets in advance. This way we could avoid the huge queue at both spots (Colosseum, Museums of Vatican) and we could get in very fast. It was convenient.

Ideal for walking through the collosseum, palatine hill and roman forum by yourself. We found walking without a guide the best experience especially in the heat and crowds of Rome. If you do like history then a tour guide is recommended. The audio was fine but we didn't get much out of it with all the excitement of the day! Sometimes the audio did not work due to bad connection. Possibly that will work with downloading. The instructions on the ticket indicated that we had to redeem it at an address across the street from the collosseum. But we could just show the tickets at the entre and could walk right through without waiting! Just make sure you are in the right line!

El Coliseo y el foro romano son inpactantes y hay que verlos. La experiencia de reserva y entrada al Coliseo fue excelente. Cosas para mejorar, un toldo en la fila de entrada al foro romano, el calor al rayo del Sol fue muy duro para los niños especialmente. También decía que la entrada incluía audio guía y al llegar nos dijeron que no tenían audio guías.

What's not allowed

You will be denied entry if you do not carry a valid ID or passport with you and present it at the time of entry if requested.
Note that the following are not allowed on this tour: Large backpacks, and luggage.
No storage facility is available. You can, however, take a baby stroller into the Colosseum with you, should it be necessary.

Additional information

After booking the ticket, you’ll receive information on how to download the digital audio guide app on your smartphone.
Families with children will be escorted to the entrance of the Roman Forum
The mandatory security check can take 30 min or more. To make the security checks quicker, please insert any object (including mobile phone) in the bag/backpack or in the tray to be included in the X-ray.
Please note that entry to the Colosseum is free on the first Sunday of the month, just beware of the crowds!
Please note that timed priority entry is only available at the Colosseum, but the tickets for the Forum and Palatine will remain valid for an additional 24 hours after the Colosseum entry time selected during booking.
You might be given a time slot 30 minutes earlier or up to 2 hours later than the one you picked, depending on what's available.
The tickets for the Palatine and Forum will remain valid for an additional 24 hours after the Colosseum entry time selected during booking.
Note that there are 2 entrances: one for the Colosseum, and another for the Roman Forum & Palatine Hill (combined). You may enter each entrance ONLY ONCE and not re-enter.
