The pass is only valid for the metro, tram, and bus, not for trains. Once we figured that out, we had no trouble getting around. You just exit through the corresponding gate with your ticket. So, only the door marked with an “M” for metro—even though the one right next to it looks exactly the same. The fact that you always have to show all the QR codes for every single passenger when boarding and exiting is a bit of a hassle and takes some getting used to. But it’s not just for holders of this ticket. In any case, it made our transfers much easier.

We stayed at a hotel just outside the city center and booked a 24-hour GVB ticket. The great thing was that, in addition to the trains, we could also use the ferries, and everything went smoothly. We highly recommend booking the GVB ticket for visitors to Amsterdam.

Easy to book and saved in my wallet. Worked flawlessly at all stations. The activation time was accidentally (or due to a system error) set to 15 minutes after our intended time, which was in the past. No big deal—we just had to wait 2 minutes at the gate, :-)

We bought two tickets online for two days of unlimited travel. We had no trouble finding our way around; everything is really well signposted. The metro line we needed ran very frequently. We never had to wait more than 3 minutes anywhere. The only downside: the QR code on our phone to open the metro gates didn’t always work, so we had to try several times or quickly go through two at a time.

Very simili to buy, not so easy in using it because sometimes scan doesn't work. Good idea for a 7 days pass, no quee no time post in looking for tickets

Excellent service! The public transportation system is extremely easy to use, even for those who don't use it often. The buses and trains are on time, well-organized, and, above all, very comfortable, making every trip a pleasure. Plus, it offers great value for the money, allowing you to get around the city without breaking the bank. Highly recommended! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

The purchase went smoothly, and you could take the tram and scan your ticket at the scanner when boarding. The return trip was no problem either. Great!

We had tickets for public transportation in Amsterdam. Unfortunately, the train from Halfweg (where the Amsterdam Outlet is located—which is why I was misled) to Amsterdam Central Station wasn’t included. So I had to buy separate tickets for the return trip. The next day, I was a bit wiser and found a Park & Ride lot, and we took the S-Bahn. The nasty surprise came afterward. Parking cost nearly €24 for about 6 hours, and when I asked via the contact function on the machine, I was told I needed a physical card—the online booking wasn’t enough to get a parking discount. For the total amount of money I spent, I could have just as easily driven my car to a parking garage in Amsterdam. On the positive side, the trains, platforms, and stations are clean, and the trains run on time.

In fact, we cut our trip short and went to the GVB office to get a refund for the third day of our two tickets, since they were unused. However, the agent was rude and claimed that this wasn't possible, even though an agent on the platform had confirmed that we could get a refund for the unused third day of our two passes.
